I can’t say enough good things about this spa. My boyfriend and I had been walking around all afternoon. After dinner we were super tired and looking for a way to wind down. It was late so I called ahead of time to see if they might be able to accommodate two guests for a foot massage. The woman gladly accepted us without hesitation, despite it being around 7:30pm.

When we arrived we were given indoor slippers and bottled water. Then we were taken into a room with two big, fluffy reclining chairs that we sank into. We agreed that this had been the best foot massage either of us ever had. Each masseuse was friendly, attentive and careful to ask about pressure or sore spots.

After the session we came back out into the lobby area, which was equally as relaxing a place as the massage room. The concierge gave us two cups of hot tea drink before sending us on our way.

I have visited Chiang Mai 3 times, and every time I book a massage at Peak Spa. Since my last visit in 2019 they have decreased in size (probably a result of the pandemic challenges), but the rooms and service remain exceptional. Although the spa is a 10 min walk or 3 minutes tuktuk ride from old Chiang Mai town (next to the Shangri la hotel), it is worth the minor effort. I have tried other cheaper places but it was false economy, as you share the room with other people and masseuses were not as good as the therapists in this spa. The therapists at this spa are very polite, professional as you can feel they know what they are doing. My husband and I tend to have massages together and have tried a variety, all very good. Iconsider a 90 minutes massage of this standard for 800 bht (£20) a bargain. Love the traditional Thai massage and the oil one. You are also treated with tea before and after the treatment. Can't wait to return ....

The place was LOVELY and very friendly and felt special. I had a long Thai massage, which I liked, but I have a sore part on my back and I've had better treatment of that particular area with other masseuses. My mom got a haircut and LOVED it (I loved the cut too). My sister got a foot massage, but they also gave her a bit of a shoulder and scalp massage, and since they only charged her for the foot massage, she gave them a nice tip. We got tea and a treat and also warm cloths to wash our hands and faces. I did enjoy it, but it was pricey, compared to other places.
