Pad Thai Clock Tower — Restaurant in Chiang Rai Province

The food was okay. Regarding the experience, it felt overpriced to me. I paid for Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp 119 Baht. In Bangkok I get a much bigger portion with more ingredients for 100 Baht (and we're in Chiang Rai). In Chiang Mai I pay 45 Baht for a bigger portion without shrimp. Compared to other Pad Thais I just found it average, so to me the price is not justified. Inside there were only farangs. Probably this restaurant and its location is more catered to Westerners (as you can also tell by the reviews).

This was busy for dinner service so we decided to eat here. And we in the quest to find the best pad thai in Thailand anyway. We ordered pad thai and pork with garlic. Service was fast, they cook the food in woks in front by the street. Beverage and beer are self service.

Pad Thai was good as well as the pork with garlic but not memorable/special. Prices are reasonable and probably one of the most affordable dinners in Chiang Rai. Also close by the Clock Tower and you can watch the light show from here.

Restaurant needs upgrade on paint and interior. We saw a couple bugs...

Good food and cheap price, but portions absolutely extra small. Most annoying thing is that if you are local you get a plate almost double than a foreigner… The day after anyway I gave them another opportunity and I tried a delivery with Grab, but after one hour waiting they cancelled my order leaving me without dinner.
