Swansong Bar — Restaurant in Chiang Rai Province

We was simply looking for somewhere to watch the football but we got much more than that! Great vibes in this bar, customers can choose a song to add to the playlist, there’s a pool table, the bar girl was absolutely lovely and drinks are reasonably priced. My fav thing was that you could tell it wasn’t a local bar, which usually I do want to experience the culture, but when it’s not a local bar it means you get toilet roll, hand wash AND something to dry your hands on in the toilet and that felt like a real luxury hahaha! Me and my mate fell upon this place by chance when we were looking for somewhere to watch Tottenham and Chelsea. Free pool, cheap beer and Jason the owner is extremely accommodating. Not to mention the bloke is totally crackers and drinks Jameson’s like it’s going out of fashion. One of the best nights out we’ve had in Thailand. We’re just sad that we we were hanging like mad the next day otherwise would have been in there for round two with that nutter Jason. (M/21) I went to this bar for 4 months every other night and for a reason. Jason and Nim, the owners, make it a great place. The food is amazing (I recommend the burger with the lot) and the prices are one of the cheapest around clock tower. The pool table attracts players who walk by and you can always have a game with the other guests or with the owners. On the big TV you can watch almost every sport and you can always put on any song on the computer (mostly 80s music is on). In all of Chiang Rai this is the place I am going to miss the most.
