Asian Bistro Kamala — Restaurant in Kamala

We had just got to our hotel and wanted a 5 star meal that was casual.

A lot of other places only had 4 stars, other reviews mentioned the pricing and food quality here being off the charts good.

It was between this, a thai spot and an Indian food place.

Since we had a 5 year old in our party and my wife was pregnant we decided to try here to appease everyone.

I LOVED it.

For the dim sum set, chicken skewers, the Thai set, and the fresh shrimp rolls.

It was so good we ordered 3 more dishes for takeaway.

Outstanding!

They don’t spice their food hard, which is important for eating with others, or In heat or pregnancy.

Also, one of our party members has a peanut allergy and they don’t use peanuts or were able to modify so all good on the allergy front.

We had Vietnamese, Chinese and Thai food all in one spot.

All amazing.

I scarfed down the Vietnamese salad bowl.

Highly recommend you come here if you’re wanting Asian food.

I wish my mom had traveled with us to try it.

She would have been impressed.

This is a small family running restaurant. The lady is very sweet and helpful.

We ordered the dimsum and chef speciality. All are good. The dimsum cost 30 bath each plate. You choose your own dimsum from the fridge. If you want to fry it it cost 5 bath more (35). They have the alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. The juice and tea might me too sweet. So ask for less or no sugar if you don't like it sweet.

The place is small, maybe around 6 tables, so if it is packed, might need to wait a bit longer for getting your food.

The menu is more like chinese Vietnamese food. Super tasty! The most important thing, the food are clean.

Extra note They also...

Waited 45 minutes the the waiter told us he had no shrimp to make our dish. Then they bring bo bun without nems saying it was normal, food was really low quality. Avoid !

[Edit following restaurant answer] I wasn't in a hurry to go to the airport, I had a meeting one hour after the time I entered the restaurant. As we didn't had the food after 45 min and only after this wait they told us they didn't had enought shrimp I asked if it will be ok soon.

We were not warned that the nems were missing before we had the bobun, we asked for them showing the picture... And we didn't enjoy the food as I said it was poor quality.

Finally there was 6 peoples in the restaurant...

It one thing to have a bad service, it's another to lie while reply to...
