Used to come here a few years ago and remembered it was great. Today however was quite disappointing. We came in a big group so got to try quite a lot of dishes.
The NZ rib eye steak was terrible, tough and not tasty. We asked for medium and got rare so asked for re-cook and of course got back well done 😅 The green sauce was nice though. The fries weren’t crispy.
Pork t-bone was also quite tough. Spaghetti Shrimp Roe was very tomato heavy. Carbonara was too creamy.
However, salads, german pork knuckle cubes, chicken in red wine sauce, deep fried shrimp, truffle soup and onion soup were good.
Best was spaghetti with pesto sauce and salmon.
Service-wise, we came in a group of 7 so got a private room on the 2nd floor. They partitioned off a small table from a larger room for us to fit so it wasn’t that comfortable. Seeing there were literally no one else on that floor, we asked if we could move to a slightly larger table but staff said they were all booked. We finished our lunch at 3:30pm and absolutely no one else came, so…not sure why they had to do that to us.
We also had to walk downstairs multiple times because there wasn’t a waiter serving us, asking for more water, ordering food, getting beef to be re-cooked (3 times in total lol).
So in conclusion, a mixed bag. Some dishes were great, the decor and atmosphere was nice, service was sub-par. Will be...

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and tasteful decor that made it the perfect spot for both study and relaxation. The menu featured a delightful array of dishes, each thoughtfully crafted to please the palate. As we indulged in delicious bites and sipped on aromatic coffees, the chatter of conversation filled the air, creating a lively yet comforting ambiance.
While my friends engaged in their academic discussions, I took the opportunity to explore the café's charming details. The vintage-inspired furnishings and the artful presentation of each dish made every moment there feel special. It was a place where creativity and cuisine seamlessly blended together, offering a haven for both scholars and casual diners.
By the time the event concluded, we all gathered upstairs to hear about the newfound insights and ideas that had been shared. The day had been a wonderful blend of learning, laughter, and culinary delight.
Audrey Café & Bistro had not only provided a space for intellectual growth but also for cherished memories...
Read moreI am a regular customer of audrey since 5 years.
I used to love the place, incredible food when it started. However through time, they have become greedier and have seemingly changed management. The place now has zero consistency in the portions and quality of food they give out, and completely lack understanding of certain allergens.
It doesn't matter if you are a newcomer or regular, they will treat you with the same disregard. This is problematic for those who know the quality and quantity of the dishes.. Often finding bad surprises.
the worse experience I had was a complete dismissal of my allergens. All of a sudden they have started putting Cow Milk (Normally coconut milk) in their Tom yum soups without any allergen warning. When trying new restaurants I always give a warning, but since this was never a used ingredient i didnt feel the need. I ended up sick and not able to even get a refund, just a remark saying I should mention before hand.
In a standard priced restaurant I would't have cared as much, but when you want to raise your prices you have to understand certain business etiquette.
Very, very...
