Drywave is a standout in Bangkok’s cocktail scene — stylish, intimate, and refreshingly unpretentious. Tucked away from the city’s louder nightlife spots, it’s the kind of place that instantly makes you want to settle in for the night.

We tried three cocktails: the Casoni Martini, Fly Fly Away, and a third one I can’t quite recall — but all were excellent. As someone who gravitates toward bold, spirit-forward drinks like the Negroni or Paper Plane, the Fly Fly Away was a clear favorite — perfectly balanced, punchy, and creative without trying too hard.

The bartender did give me a heads-up that the Fly Fly Away is on the stronger side — and they weren’t wrong. But being Scottish and a seasoned Negroni drinker, I took it in stride.

The team here clearly knows their craft, and the atmosphere hits that sweet spot between laid-back and refined — great music, no gimmicks, just expertly made drinks in a sleek, minimal setting.

One small word of caution: the bar is located up a wooden staircase on the first floor, so it’s probably best to head up before you’re too deep into the drinks — a bit of care is advised on the way up (and down).

A solid spot for anyone serious about cocktails without the scene or the fuss.

After service charge and tax we were about 1600bht for 3 drinks, but...

Review of Dry Wave Cocktail Studio: A Top Contender in Mixology

Dry Wave Cocktail Studio truly lives up to its reputation as the number one bar in Asia's 50 Best Bars. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a modern retro vibe that seamlessly blends comfort and style. The atmosphere is inviting, making it a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some expertly crafted cocktails.

The cocktail list is impressive, featuring a diverse range of options. I highly recommend chatting with the bartender to get a personalized drink profile; they are knowledgeable and can help guide you to the perfect choice. While the drinks are generally excellent, some may be hit or miss, so having that conversation can really enhance your experience.

The seating area is comfortable and well-designed, allowing you to relax and enjoy the ambiance. It’s tucked away on the second floor of a charming community mall, adding to the unique character of the location.

Overall, Dry Wave Cocktail Studio is a must-visit for cocktail enthusiasts. With its excellent drink selection, friendly staff, and stylish setting, it’s no wonder it has earned such high accolades. I can’t wait to return for...

What an outstanding evening.

We arrived here without reservations and managed to get seated. The space is pretty small so we got squeezed into the counter seat which is really close to other people.

Nonetheless, we still had a great time. I really felt they catered to every senses. The music was jazzy and not too loud, the lights were dimmed and the ‘wave’ and sand like texture of the walls provided a sense of calm, the smell of scented candles, the cool breeze of the aircon and most importantly the well crafted and balanced cocktails. We got 2 rounds of cocktails and I was very pleased with both my choices of Henry tea and not that sour?

Small details like the texture of the coasters matching the walls, the odd shape of the glass of water and the well crafted and well thought out UX of the menu really made this spot a must visit for both cocktail enthusiasts and someone just wanting a...
