Ebisu Sushi — Restaurant in Khlong Tan Nuea Subdistrict

Went in there on Sunday afternoon around 3:00pm, restaurant seems a bit lovely and has a unique Japanese atmosphere in there. Staffs were very lovely and welcoming. I love the fact that they give free, unlimited Japanese soup and side dish (potato salad), which is delicious.

However, waiting time is just so bad. We ordered only 1 dish (Sushi Jumbo set), which shouldn’t be taking so long to prepare, but we ended up waiting for almost 40 minutes! When we told staff to please hurry up, they said that there were busy because so many customers ( there were only 2 tables at that time!). We got so frustrated, and staff apologized many times; it seems to be that the chef mistakenly prepared the dish that we didn’t ordered, and it seems that other tables received wrong dishes also. That’s why they are taking way too much time preparing new orders again and again.

But all in all, sushi was delicious and really fresh though, but if we have to wait this long for 1 dish, probably not...

Stylewise this is a tiny place made to let you feel that you are already in Japan. The place is clean and the food is fresh and tasty (Japanese style). The waitresses are with you and keep the place in order and do support you if you have any question (be aware that not all do speak English or Japanese). The prices are above Thai food but cheap compared to Japan. There are Japanese guests too, so I imagine that it does have some origin taste. If you want to have that backyard Tokio restaurant feeling you should ask if you can dine...

The hamachi, the engawa and the tempura were top notch!

However, the parking was absolutely terrible! The parking space was very narrow and the alley at the parking space was also narrow making it really difficult to park and to come out. When we complained, the parking attendant was rude and just brushed it off saying we should address the complaint to the parking owner, instead of taking that responsibility of delivering the complaint.
