La Buca — Restaurant in Khlong Toei Nuea Subdistrict

This Italian food is A+ and I would come back here if I were back home in the US or even in Italy. After three weeks in Thailand I was craving a good glass of wine and some Italian food, and this place exceeded my expectations. The house wine was great and the Penne Arrabiatta rivaled some of the best I've eaten in San Francisco. Perfectly al dente and served with lots of parmesan cheese. The place was quiet. Split floor that created an intimate setting. Amarone by the glass went well with the food. Big scallops on the salad. Could of went for a few of the garden salads. Distinct saffron taste in the risotto and the osso buco was whole. Great dish. I tried the pork chop also, that was superb. Their crab linguine with shrimp sauce was tolerable with an immense amount of crab meat. Make a great tiramisu too. Intimate with the low ceiling and dumb waiter. We spent a delightful evening in this little restaurant having walked past it on many occasions without having ever been aware of existence ! Indeed, we were surprised to hear that it has been operating here for almost 20 years.

This was is a very cozy, romantic little restaurant that offers excellent service with great food and service.
