Unfortunately a disappointment. Thought it would be my favorite place as I love these places at home in Sweden. However, really good flavors but quite pricey and rather small portions. (I paid about 240 THB each for the smoothie and açai bowls we ordered). And I also bought a banana bread for take away (70 THB). Super dry! Must have been stored in that fridge for several days. The owner was almost arrogant when I asked her about the different sweeteners they used. They label lots of their sweets “RSF”, (refined sugar free) but she couldn’t really answer what other sweeteners they used in each cake but it seemed they used maple syrup or similar in most of the pastries... The best thing was the presentation which is extremely Instagram friendly. All in all, somewhat pretentious and not worth the money.

Tasty bowls using good ingredients but pricey for the portion and relative comparison to similar places on the island. The pineapple-based one was super tasty and their basic granola and caramel buckwheat has a great crunchy texture. The service could be friendlier and the waiting time is very long - we ordered two smoothie bowls and waited 50 minutes. They do specify it takes time on the menu but it definitely didn't take that long the first time we visited a day earlier. Also I found it a little misleading to have a painted sign that said vegan by the entrance of the cafe when there was chicken on the menu. They do label vegan, vegan friendly etc on the menu though. This cafe is probably the leading superfood dessert sort of place on Koh Lanta though!

The pictures look amazing but the experience wasn’t great. The lady that was serving is probably an European expat, but not very welcoming, unlike locals at every other restaurant we have been. We were forbidden from taking pictures of the food in the fridge nor the menus, but were (how convenient) “more than welcome to take pictures of the food on the table and post it on instagram” The food tasted okay (açaí bowl with granola and banana, and a bowl of tortilla chips with avo and slow cooked chicken) but the portions are very small, and everything is pricier than anywhere else. Another one of those places that only look good in the pictures.

Terrible service, totally lacking hospitality and welcoming environment. We ordered a bowl, sandwich and coffee. After 30 min our coffee came. After an hour we still hadn’t gotten our food. The place was dead empty, us and another group so there wasn’t any reason for it to take so long.

After 1h20min I went and asked to pay for our drinks, ”we’d like to leave now after waiting for +1h.” to which responded: ”okay but it is ready now, but okay.” arrogantly and not at all apologizing for the service and time.

I’ve worked years in high end service and usually never complain, but my word is: skip this:)

Go to Monkey Bizniz Cafe or Fruit Tree Lodge for great service...
