The Sound Shack Bar — Restaurant in Krabi Province

What an incredible place. We spent 6 hours there last month on the night of the full moon. Completely lost track of time whilst we watched the waves below and went to the moon and back. At some point we realised we were the last people in the bar but never felt we had to leave. Everyone was so kind, we felt completely safe and utterly zen. As it was very late and taxis were far and few, the owner was so kind to organise a ride back to Long Beach for us for only THB 150. In our state we would've even been happy to pay more but this place is different with genuinely kind people. Owner asked us how we've heard of the place as he was surprised we weren't staying at Khlong Khong. He asked us to spread the word so please do not keep this a hidden gem - they deserve...

I don't have enough words to express how much my partner and I fell in love with The Sound Shack. We visited Ko Lanta twice during our month long stay in Thailand as we felt so welcomed and relaxed, a big part of that was down to the owner, A and his lovely wife. The cocktails are very reasonably priced and are by far the best I tried on the island (and I had rather a few!) I spent almost every day I was on Koh lanta lounging here, A and Kan make you feel like family, they are such wonderfully kind and funny people, I felt really at home - I miss them and all the people I met while hanging out there.
