Spring Rolls — Restaurant in Ko Lanta Yai

I visited this place yesterday and ordered fried chicken noodle soup. I asked for very hot, not spicy. It arrived perfectly hot and had a nice vegetable garnish (bean sprouts, carrots, onion, corn, broccoli, bok choy or sth like that, and some green herbs).

The soup was very good so I decided to bring my partner tonight so he can also taste it as we weren't feeling very well.

Today, I ordered two soups: chicken noodle soup for my partner and fried chicken noodle soup for myself. I specifically asked the waitress (who was the same waitress from yesterday) to kindly serve both of our soups in the same format: both hot, not spicy, just like yesterday and showed her the picture from yesterday. I also asked if I could get the fried chicken on the side so it doesn't get soaked. This was well received by her. I also translated these instructions to Thai language so there are no misunderstandings.

It came as a surprise that my soup arrived before my boyfriend's, cold, in a regular bowl, with the chicken swimming in the soup, and with no vegetable garnishes whatsoever except bean sprouts and one leaf of bok choy. It was also extremely salty, so I just fished the few noodles and bean sprouts out and left pretty much all of the soup untouched.

What's REALLY UPSET ME was when my partner's soup arrived, his looked and tasted exactly like what I ordered yesterday, including all the vegetable garnishes!!!

I was really looking forward to eat the soup one last time and now it's extremely hard to hide the disappointment. I unfortunately cannot recommend this place anymore. I really don't understand why the dishes differ a) from one day to another, and worse, b) why they differ when ordered by two people at the same time from the same table.

Won't be coming back!

We arrived here at 14.35 and placed our order. After 40 minutes we were starting to get a bit impatient as it was all cold food like salad and fresh spring rolls. Another table who had arrived 15 minutes after us were also getting impatient and was pestering the waiter to see where their order was. The dishes we ordered were the same as the other table that arrived after us yet the restaurant chose to serve their food to them first. By this time it was one hour we had sat with no food. Not even one of the 4 dishes we ordered had arrived. So we decided to leave without getting to try the food. The mistakes they made were never keeping us informed that there was going to be a delay and secondly serving a table that arrived 15 minutes after us and served them the same salad we had ordered all because they were complaining about the wait. The chef came out and decided to let us know we are only two cooks here. Well if two cooks cannot prepare a salad in less than an hour they are in the wrong business. The restaurant had a total 11 people 6 of which were eating so they only had 5 people to look after. I would really hate to be a customer when they are busy. WILL NOT...

Love this place! What a hidden gem free drinking water good prices whole veggie Menü! Everything mostly 80 thb friendly and happy service everything is freshly made! loved the taste of the Penang curry 🍛 I ordered the stir fry cashew nut and it was too much sugar and tamatoes with their juice so more like sweet and sour (wouldn’t order again.) Update Massaman Curry nice flavor but mostly potatoes!
