2499 Cafe & Restaurant — Restaurant in Krabi Province

I’m glad we found this place and wish we had tried it sooner. The few times I walked by I assumed it was much more expensive than it is. In fact, the prices are very reasonable. My wife had a burger and some of the best mushroom soup I’ve ever had. It was very light and savory.

All of our food wash made to order and fresh. Even the salad dressing looked like it was from scratch. There’s a wide range on the menu and there should be something for everyone.

You can enjoy your food inside the air conditioned restaurant or get it to go and enjoy the awesome view and breeze across the street.

I wouldnt reccomend going here. The service isnt too bad, but owner (?) Doesnt really know what to do and cant speak English. We waited almost an hour for our food, and it was kinda dissapointing. We had a pizza margarita and spinach pancakes. The pancakes were undercooked. The pizza came super late, was dry and had a bit of a weird taste. Sweet? We werent full at all so had to go somewhere else to eat more. Not to bash this place, but it can use its improvements. Also there was tv on, and it was a program to show how they butcher a chicken. Not very...

I had the Tom Yum Seafood Fried Rice for 95 baht. The fried rice is flavored well with slight sour and spicy tom yum flavor. It is lacking in complexity though, as the aroma from the tom yum paste used does not have a standout lemongrass and lime leaf fragrance. There are 2 pieces of prawns and few thick slices of squid, so I think it justifies the price, in addition to the atmosphere.
