Alex & Poo Kitchen And Cooking Class — Restaurant in Krabi Province

Loved it here! The restaurant is run by Alex and Poo, who made us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. They serve delicious thai and also western dishes, and everything we tried was absolutely amazing. They’re also super accommodating for vegans, which was such a bonus for us.

The atmosphere is just incredible—so warm and homey. They have several cats lounging around and even a chicken, which we absolutey adored. You feel like you’re at someone’s cozy home rather than a restaurant.

We decided to do their cooking class, and it was such a highlight of our trip. Not only did we learn a lot, but we had so much fun doing it. The chef Poo shared stories about how her grandmother taught her these recipes, which made the experience even more special.

We also happened to visit on Christmas for one of their specialty nights, and wow—it was such a treat. They served so many courses, with dishes we’d never even heard of before, and everything was absolutely delicious.

We found this amazing place by coincidence and tried their food, since then we became fans. It's our favorite place on Koh Lanta and we had to follow the cooking class of course so we can make this food back home as well!

The cooking class was a lot of fun, they adjust the menu to your own tastes. My partner loves his food very spicy and I like fish and they both remembered that and anticipated that.

Alex and Poos kitchen is 10/10, the service is beautiful and food is outstanding, cheap too! Everything is made to order so expect a little wait for things! . Their restaurant is next to Lanta Darren Garden Home (an incredible place to stay!) so we ate there daily during our stay and tried many items on the menu.
