We went for weeks throughout Thailand, having thai food twice a day, and we ate in many restaurants and street stalls, most of them really delicious, but Chomlay was the best restaurant we came across, and we're falling short. It's just simple thai food with fresh ingredients put together by expert and loving hands. My favourite was the tofu and veggies spicy stir fry, so fragant, creamy and tasty. I'm still wondering where that red colour anf the abundant sauce comesñ from when it was not so spicy nor tomato-y, hence ruling out red spicy paste or tomato sauce. If only I knew I could try to replicate it at home. Also, the massaman curry, the kao soi and the pad thai were amazing. Even the humble omelette was extraordinary, so crispy and toasted. I'm writing this from home in Spain feeling humbled down by such an experience, and looking forward to come back to Thailand some day. Also a big thank you to the young lady in the front, who did a great job and made us feel well treated and taken care of, and my respect to her and...

In the small restaurant, being full, it was very loud and that did detract from the atmosphere.
I would recommend this restaurant to groups, but following my visit I found it isn't cosy or a good place for two or three people. If you visit outside peak hours, I can definitely recommend...
Read moreCame as a tourist with other 5 friends. We all ordered at the same time, and no more customers were in the restaurant. When they had served the other 5 diners, they informed me there was no more rice (considering 3 out of the 5 dishes already served had rice and the fact that 70% of the menu options are stir fried/steamed rice) Instead of informing us in advance, I had to choose while all the plates had been served except mine. I did not receive apologies or any kind of compensation for the deal. We discussed and it would be unpolite to go to the 7eleven 100 meters away and bring a bag of rice, to cook the dish I ordered for. The food is average in quality and price nonetheless.
PS. There were a couple...
