La Vineria House Wine & Restaurant — Restaurant in Krabi Province

I do not write negative reviews, but the level of disrespect we received is outright insulting. This review is certainly odd when looking at my review history...but you should know this.

We visited this restaurant at 6pm scouting a location for dinner and drinks. We met the owner, and he explained they had a special of BBQ brisket that evening and cheese/meat options on the menu. I told him we would return that evening. Nice guy.

We returned at 9pm and were turned away by the female “manager.” They close at 10pm. She attempted to direct us to another Italian restaurant when we tried to enter. They appeared to have a full restaurant, though several women just walked out and left.

We also suggested that we could sit and wait at one of the two empty tables outside, perhaps have some wine and wait...nope. She literally shooed us away. They were open for another hour.

Krabi has been devastated from COVID, and being from Phuket, we have seen the crippled businesses. This arrogant and dismissive behavior is really confusing. Perhaps this woman simply needs better training.

We wish you good luck with this pretentious level of customer service. You’re going to need it when the country...

What an amazing place. A piece of Italy in Thailand that is so unexpected. 5 stars do not do this place justice. It is certainly a cut above the standard fare.

A wall of wine bottles greet you as you choose your food and it’s just incredible food.

Would go back here in a heart beat and I would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for some proper Italian food whilst in South East Asia.

The owner is Italian and has travelled the world which makes his food, wine & service the best of the best.

A sharing starter, bottle of wine, 2 pasta mains & a tiramisu all for £75. What more could you want?!

Friendly and professional staff, but the food and wine were hugely disappointing. Caprese salad was very cold, tomatoes never taste of anything when taken straight from the fridge. 4 basil leaves was a little stingy. Mozzarella was also served too cold, almost frozen. Pizza looked good but there were incredibly thin sparce slices of sausage, so didn't really taste of anything other than too sweet tomato topping. Pizza at REEVE were much better.
