Popped in while on holiday, had had coffee there and a drink already, looked very busy, which I think is always a good sign. Quickly sat down, I ordered a burrito and my wife an chimichanga.
Food arrived very quickly, I was really struck by the small portions, especially for the cost. The food while quite tasty was cold to Luke warm, but the main problem was my burrito had most of the toppings missing, no cheese or sour cream.
Now I know I should of complains there and then , but the place was manic and there is always the language barrier. So we both finished our meal and paid.
On the way out I found the manager Tony, I thought I give him my opinion on the food, what can I say the flood gates opened, he believed every thing I said then went on about how hard it was to get good staff and how he wanted to replace them all, this went on for about ten minutes. I told him I was sorry but it's not my problem and he needed to sort it out. Finally he offered me a meal on another night, gave me his card which he signed his name.
I really wasn't going to bother going back as I don't really agree with free meals, you either get it right the first time or you don't. But this time I had a feeling, which proved to be correct.
Two nights later we went back, passed the card Tony had signed to the waitress, who looked at it with distaste, she said Tony was busy, so we waited. After a while she informed us he was in the kitchen , so we waited. What she didn't know is that we could see Tony at the back of the restaurant talking to customers, after about 10 to 15 minutes I walked over to Tony. He recognised me straight away, I asked if he had been told we were waiting, sadly his awnser was no. I said to him I rest my case.
It's really sad to have to do a 1 star review, I would have given a 2 to 3 after the first night, but having been invited back as a way of saying sorry, only to get worse service is why I...
Read moreGreat place to hang out… lovely presentation of the food but the main part of a restaurant, taste, was completely missing. Now it could be because we ordered vegetarian food and maybe here the non veg is better!!!! The fajitas veggies had nearly raw beans in it… and the quantity of the sides in fajitas was way too less for the price.. then the veggie Thai curry experience was a disaster.. looked amazing when it came but the taste was very bad … we had asked for vegetarian with no fish or chicken but the curry still was smelling of fish…. any other Thai place nearby would have done a better job here even the Indian Thai place where we ate yesterday had better taste..now it can be said that this is a Mexican place so we maybe should not expect a good Thai but that is wrong as if they cannot do justice to that food then don’t serve it… lastly the waiters, it took considerable amount of time for them to come and then were getting things one by one …like for 4 of us when u ordered water they got 1 glass, when they got dishes they missed spoons, when asked for change of plates they changed 2 out of 4 and so on…. Though loved the atmosphere all charged up and the Band playing there was simply awesome… if for nothing this place is good to visit for the band and atmosphere and the...
