I went there on 10/11/2024 at around 12:30 pm for lunch. I was with my friends (2 women and another guy) and we were seated immediately. We went through the menu and wanted to order 3 Coconut Waters, 2 mango sticky rice and a Tofu Massaman Curry with rice. We were told that the Coconut Water and the Mango Sticky Rice were unavailable so we ordered a Mango Smoothie and 2 Watermelon smoothies.
Cut to 5 mins later, we see people who have come after us being served fresh Coconut Water and Mango Sticky Rice. The only different between us and the new customers was that we were Indian, and the new customers were Caucasian.
Travelling as brown people, we often face micro-aggressions in foreign countries and even some outright racist remarks. However, I have never been denied by a restaurant to certain items which have (in a manner) been reserved for people of other races. I generally don’t give negative reviews to places, but this was egregious. It was so blatant that the Caucasian customers on the table right next to us ordered Mango Sticky Rice and the server even suggested that it be served after the mains when the same server had directly told us that it is out of stock.
The food might be good, but unnecessary racism is absolutely not...

Came here as it was highly recommend and the reviews looked good. I’m normally very cautious with where I eat, and it has avoided us food poisoning for 3 months. All the 5 star reviews made it look like a safe bet.
The food came out only 5 minutes after ordering and was lukewarm. It’s surely impossible to cook 3 dishes in that time so I assumed the chicken had been sat out. The place wasn’t busy so I am unsure as to why the meals aren’t being cooked fresh.
As I said I am cautious about what I eat, so I was already weary about the food being so quick and not being hot. My Khoa Soi had curdled and the broth was like a lumpy soup and the chicken looked grey. I wouldn’t eat it (1. Because it didn’t seem fresh and 2. Because it tasted rank). My boyfriend isn’t as fussy as me so we swapped and I refrained from eating any of the meat in his dish.
He’s now got bad food poisoning and is bed bound. When I did further digging on the reviews I realised that this has happened to far more people!!! Wish I had read them more thoroughly and gone elsewhere.
Avoid at all costs!! I cannot understand the amazing reviews as, even without the food poisoning, the food...
Read moreThis is a mixed review hence the 3 star rating. The bad first. We ordered 3 different curries: red, masaman and penang. First came the red which I don't believe is authentic and honestly tasted more like a rich, yellow curry. Granted, they don't have red curry on the menu, but I asked about it and the waitress said they can make it. Next came the masaman curry. It wasn't masaman which I have not only made myself, but had in hundreds of places before. It was a slightly different Penang curry, complete with peanuts. Next came the Penang curry, which was in fact Penang curry and really the only dish we got that we ordered. Next, every restaurant I've ever been to serves Thai curry in a bowl, as a soup. This place served it on a small plate, with minimal sauce. Why? And the serving size is way too small. Lastly, there were tons of flies everywhere for some reason and it was quite annoying. Now, the good. The shakes and yogurt smoothie were very good. And despite 2 of the 3 curries not being what I ordered, they still tasted very good in their own way. Anyway, they really need to fix this and learn what a red and masaman curry are and if they can't make something, be honest with...
