Madame Resto — Restaurant in Ko Phi Phi Don

Much like many other reviews, I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place. My boyfriend and I originally decided to have dinner here because the atmosphere seemed nice. I ordered the pesto pasta with salmon and a cocktail and he had the steak with shrimps and a kiwi smoothie. The “cocktail” was more of a mocktail really without any alcohol in sight and the smoothie was just a weirdly blended slurry. The pasta itself was okay but the salmon smelt.. off? I tried a little bit but it tasted like day old fish and after some of the reviews here decided it was best to stay clear. My boyfriend’s shrimps came cold and the steak was more raw than medium well so we had to send it back. I must say when it came back though it was a pretty okay steak. All in all I think this places problem is that it is spreading itself too thin with all the food options. This ends up negatively effecting the actual quality...

I have seen some reviews that talk about the quality of the western food at this restaurant. I can't speak to that, but there are several other Thai fusion restaurants that can be tried if this one doesn't suit your tastes.

We came here for the Thai food, and it was excellent. I had Khua Kling ( a very spicy minced pork loaded with chili peppers, my wife had the stir fried morning glory and we split a nam phrik ( raw vegetable tray with seafood - shrimp paste - dip). Everything was excellent, the service was great too, they brought us some watermelon thinking that I couldn't handle the spiciness of my dish. THE BEST RESTAURANT IN PHI PHI!!!! We ordered the chicken pad Thai and it was the best pad Thai I’ve had in all of Thailand after traveling here for the past month. Food and service was so good we came back later in the evening for dinner and ordered the bruschetta and Tom Yum Soup with rice. The bruschetta was incredible, bread was freshly made that morning and tomatoes were so well seasoned. The chef adds their personal touch with some melted cheese on the bread.

Not sure why they have such a low rating cause the quality of food and final dish was amazing.
