Hello My Mom — Restaurant in Krabi Province

Girlfriend found this on google and as it had decent rating we checked it out for a sit down meal. We enjoyed the dinner so much we came back on the way home after walking for a bit and got a takeaway for dinner.

Prices are extremely cheap but the food is tasty. 40THB to 80THB for a plate (£1 - £2 at the time). Bit on the small side so a couple plates each should fill you right up without breaking the bank.

Food freshness is questionable... Some stuff is pre-prepared such as the deep fried chicken which is why they can serve you so quick but it tasted fine and neither of us got sick, so cant complain.

THE best place to eat on Phi Phi. The food is great and prepared by Mom (hence the name), you can choose a vegetarian or meat version for basically every dish and it's super cheap and delicious. In addition to the great meals they also have the best veggie spring rolls I have ever eaten and amazing fried chicken buckets, also very cheap. I also love their papaya salad.

There is literally no downside to eating at this place. The owners and one of their moms (I assume) run this restaurant themselves and are super nice. You can get more sauce, free peanuts etc etc. Either order takeaway and eat at the beach or sit down, grab a beer from the cooler and watch the people going by.

I walked halfway across the island everyday just to eat there, so definitely come and try it out when...

So this place gets 5 stars because the food is soooo cheap and cooked right next to your table and good. There are no frills here. They have two pages of items all for 60B each. The fried chicken with rice or with some veg is nice and we really liked the chicken with garlic which wasn’t breaded also, we got the red curry it was fine but not my favorite. The cook is stern but tries to make her customers happy. I find it funny. Also the highlight and why we can back was her homemade red chili sauce💥💥💥!!! So so bomb, they also had a homemade dark sauce of roasted chili’s that was good too. All and all it’s a great value and tastes as good if not better than many of the other restaurants.
