Mangosteen — Restaurant in Krabi Province

Fantastic food! Resort restaurants can vary food wise and the quality of cooking, but the food at the Mangosteen restaurant located within the Dusit Thani resort was nothing but delicious. I really love the dinner menu here which has a good mix of Thai, Indian and Western dishes. We went for Thai and Indian dishes (with some of their own twists on ingredients being used) and the food was fresh, bold in flavour, spicy, sour and sweet with everything in perfect balance. The restaurant wasn't that busy, but I feel this is a very understated and a real hidden gem in Krabi among the resorts. The quality of cooking is faultless keeping to the rustic style and flavour of classic dishes but presented in a "resorty" way for the tourists. Simply amazing Indian food! My family and I are staying at Dusit Thani for 3 nights so we decided to give this place a shot. Let me just say that the Indian food is absolutely out of this world!

We got the paneer, butter chicken, daal makhani, cheese naan and garlic naan and it far exceeded our expectations. I wish we could freeze it and bring it back home 😂
