tldr : this is NOT a Mexican restaurant. We had a burrito and another dish that was supposed to be Mexican , both did not taste like their Mexican counterparts and both lacked flavor in general. We had some drinks as well which both were overly sweet for some reason. For example, I’ve had a mango slurry and it felt like they added honey or something to it because it both did not taste like mango and it was extremely sweet even though the menu does not say that it should have honey.
As for the atmosphere, for some reason the music in the restaurant is borderline plain annoying, and when there was a baby in the restaurant, they literally played baby shark for it on repeat 2 times while most of the people in the restaurant were adults , we all know what kind of a torture this can be. Also, to make the restaurant appear ‘Mexican’ so they can charge the ridicules prices they charge, there is a lady dressed in a ‘Mexican costume’ talking to people, occasionally dancing to the music and basically just walking around and trying to entertain you and It’s just too much when you just trying to enjoy your meal.
The menu’s first few pages show Mexican dishes but then transitions to Italian dishes like pasta and pizza, then moves on to Thai cuisines and then I think I also saw some European stuff.
Overall, would go as far as saying that this place qualifies for the definition of a tourist trap and I will not recommend coming here unless you don’t care about all of the above said.
We paid 280 for a chicken burrito and another 320 for the other dish.
Things to know : if you choose to pay by card they will charge an additional 3% on top of the bill. But that’s pretty normal...
Read moreMy brother and I spent six days in Ao Nang, and every single night we ended up at Rosetta Mexican. From the moment we walked in, they treated us like family. The atmosphere is pure happiness — the kind of place where not only the guests but even people passing by are encouraged to join in and have a good time.
Sunny is hands-down one of the best bartenders on the beach. His cocktails are flawless, and his Connect Four skills are legendary (fair warning: he’s unbeatable!). Annie always greets you with a warm smile, and somehow she’s there to close the place with you late at night, then back at 7 a.m. to check in and make sure you’re doing well.
I never would’ve guessed that two Californians traveling halfway around the world would find their favorite spot in Thailand to be a Mexican restaurant — but Rosetta Mexican is just that special. If you’re in Ao Nang, do yourself a favor and stop by. You’ll leave with a full heart, a happy stomach, and maybe...

We were there one night and she was dancing alone to get the atmosphere going for us when there was no crowd. Ans we were told there would be a band coming on on a Friday night. We are quite impressed by their food on a Thursday night.
Trusted her party energy and we came back the next day on a Friday night. The atmosphere is out of this would and Annie can warm even the coldest heart of Swedish and Norwegian heart and we danced the night away.
Food is good and we were surprised that the fish and chips were made of fresh barramundi instead of dory and the churros are pretty authentic.
Come here for the food, but stay here because of the hospitality of Annie and the service staffs. Their passion to make every guest in the house welcomed is something unforgettable (they even remember all the guests' name throughout the night and that...
