O'malley's Irish Pub — Restaurant in Krabi Province

Had called in here looking for some home comforts and GAA. Had Guinness on tap, didn't try it but looked decent. They had a 4/5 screens with mix of sport from GAA(All Ireland quarter final), Soccer (Euros) and Formula 1. Watched the first GAA match and headed off for food and told the bar man I'd be returning to watch the second game. Arrived back all four screens had been turned to the build up coverage of the euros (England vs Slovakia). Asked the barman could a screen be set aside to have the GAA and that it would be over before the Soccer would start. I was told the GAA was finished, I explained there was another match. Then I was told they don't have the channel, I explained they did as I was only watching it 30 mins earlier. And then I was told that they would be showing England vs Slovakia on all screens and they wouldn't putting a GAA match on. Needless to say I left. Hardly fitting of the label of an Irish pub if that's...

Come for the match. Leave shortly thereafter. There are plenty of good quality screens and audio in this pub That’s where the positives truly end.

As far from an Irish bar, and Irish welcome as you could imagine. Only the walls painted green give reference to Eire. Not an Irish worker or even a cheesy Guinness/other memorabilia sign around.

I was met with and continued to experience a hostile atmosphere from the front-of-house server, his impatient attitude only overshadowed by overpriced drinks. Really unusual to be met with a space like this in Thailand at all! Ao Nang is such an open place. Oh and the one single toilet is filthy!!

We had a party of 6 adults and numerous kids. Pool table was good entertainment for kids while we sat at front of house outside. Had a few beers until 1 of us had a bottled of Chand beer that was off. It couldn't of cost anymore that 100 baht. Smelt and tatsed terrible. Asked manager/owner to change it but he wouldn't??? He was so unapproachable we literally asked for the bill and left. We were there for the weekend and would easily of gone back the following evening but no way...shane as we're prepared to pay some good money...
