Tribe Beach Bar — Restaurant in Krabi Province

A fairly nice chilled out bar except for one thing. Very weird drinks promotions policy. I travel all over Thailand and they had a 3 beers for 260thb offer. I only wanted to order 1 beer to start. You have to order all 3 beers there and then (they will deliver when you finished each beer) but you can't for example just order 3 or 4 beers over the evening and then when the bill comes pay 3 on the promotion and 1 full price. It made it very confusing and this was taken so seriously. I have never had this experience before... They then give you a piece of paper to tick off your beers. I put the paper in my pocket but then 5 minutes later the lady made me put it in a yellow plastic serviette dispenser.... All I wanted was one beer to start but things very quickly got confusing and complicated... Very weird... Change the policy.... At the end when the bill comes for example 10 beers, that's 3 promotions and 1 full price.... Simple.... No need to make it...

I ordered the French Toast and my gf ordered the tropical fruit yogurt bowl. The bowl looked excellent with papaya, mango, and dragon fruit drizzled with strawberry syrup - served with one scoop of yogurt.

Unfortunately my meal never made it to my table after 50 minutes from ordering. No new tables arrived and all existing patrons had their food. It's typical in Thailand to receive meals at different times so I'm usually understanding. I'm also not one to hound employees on the progress of my meal. I saw a few idle servers and none gave me an update either. My gf tried to take her time with her yogurt but the small bowl lasted so long and we waited for 30 minutes after she was finished for nothing.

We had a boat to catch so she was nice enough to run to McDonald's next door to get me lunch while I paid for her yogurt. A different server gave me my check and said sorry after giving me my change. Fortunately they didn't charge for the...

We spent 3 days at Tribe Bar, which is located right next to our hostel on Ao Nang Beach. We tried most of the items on the menu, and the food was delicious. The cocktails were great, and they offered happy hour deals. All the staff were very friendly, polite, and attentive. Most importantly, they were quick to solve any issues and spoke English fluently.

In the evenings, the bar gets quite crowded, and there’s great DJ music. However, the indoor area is very small and poorly ventilated. When they use fog machines for the show, it becomes unbearable to stay inside. A proper ventilation system or air conditioning is needed.
