Baan Ying at One Bangkok really needs no further introduction, as it has consistently received 5-star ratings from many happy customers — and we were curious to find out why.

We had an amazing lunch at this family-style restaurant, which offers a wide range of comforting, homemade Thai dishes. The atmosphere was cozy, and the food presentation was thoughtful.

We started with the spinach and grilled pork salad, a dish that caught our eye as a healthy Thai-style option. The spinach was lightly cooked and paired nicely with the tender grilled pork — a creative and delicious way to enjoy both greens and protein.

Unfortunately, the stir-fried Thai morning glory was a letdown. The dish came with almost only stems and barely any leaves, which made it feel incomplete and carelessly prepared. It felt like we were served all the scraps, and that really brought down the experience for us.

The star of the meal was clearly the Tom Yum Goong Omelette Rice, one of their signature dishes. We loved the soft, gooey texture of the omelette, which was infused with the rich aroma of Tom Yum and topped with fresh prawns. We did think it could be even better with the addition of scallops or crab meat — and next time, we’d love to try a DIY omelette with our own favorite ingredients.

To wrap up the meal, we shared a glass of Thai milk tea, which was the perfect sweet ending — creamy, fragrant, and authentically Thai.

Overall, a great spot for modern Thai comfort food, with a couple of hits and a few misses. We’ll be back, especially for...

My last meal in Bangkok was at One Bangkok Baan Ying This restaurant is situated at the Parade Shopping mall (in my opinion) the better shopping mall part of One Bangkok. it said Original Siam Kitchen and I just wanted to try OG Thai food before i left for home... i tried their signature beef with omelette and their Minced pork/shrimp Plum soup. The soup is a bit sour but i like it that way so it has a bit of kick to it. some people might not like it so be aware that this soup has that. The Beef Omelette rice was one of the best i've ate! it pairs well with the soup but the portion is quite generous so be prepared to bring your stomach!

as i was eating by myself i couldn't order more than 2 dishes and 1 home made ice tea...I think i didn't finish the soup (I did finish the rice dish) so if you're with 4-5 people you could try...

Baanying at One Bangkok is part of a well-established Thai restaurant chain that’s been serving local Thai cuisine since 1999. The menu offers a wide variety of authentic dishes, and the flavors are delicious. I tried the stir-fried vegetables with egg and vermicelli, as well as the crab with curry powder and egg. While the taste was good, the portion sizes felt a bit small for the price, and the crab was quite hard to find in the dish. Still, it was a pleasant dine-in experience with a...
