Vento Di Mare – Italian Restaurant & Bar Bangkok — Restaurant in Lumphini Subdistrict

New Italian eatery in Bangkok.

Been here under friend recommendation. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a sea side Italian atmosphere that make me feeling relaxed and seem to don’t stay in the bkk city center. Went there with family and we order different food to try, breads selections complimentary very good taste, spaghetti vongole and pasta e fagioli still can’t forget how much was tasty and well balanced flavoured, My wife ordered a classic caprese salad. She is thai and love it the freshness of the mozzarella and creativity presentation. At one point of the dinner came out the Executive Chef for check guest satisfaction and explain about his food, During he talk I can feeling all his passion in what is doing, nice person and I can say he made a really nice job on this place considering what it was before.

Some cons: We went there with my car, the parking outside was too dark and after rain was muddy, my wife with high heel was not so happy to walk trough parking area to the restaurant. Bar entrance seem to be weird and doesn’t match with the rest of nicely restaurant decors. Service staff was good but need some more training and more attentions to the guest.

This place is so pretty hidden in a small area which feels like Mediterranean & st tropez vibes. The staffs are so attentive and kind they would walk you to ur car with umbrella, being attentive to u and refill water often. The food here is very unique. We start off with many kind of toast with tuna uni and caviar in which it’s so fresh and the amount given is so worth it. Next up is foie gras rocket salad it’s so soft and light and with cranberry sauce which makes it not greasy. The mixed salad dressing is so light eaten with scallop truffle it’s like heaven on earth love it. Then it’s the platter with seafood tartare this one so unique with dish arrangement I personally love the prawn but so so with salmon and tuna. I went here for dinner on Valentine's Day, but my entire experience was awful. Despite arriving earlier than our scheduled time, we still had to wait for an hour. The management was terrible, a couple who arrived after me was able to obtain the table first. The queue system was terrible, and the staff members didn't seem to be communicating at all. And the owner, manager, or whoever was clearly discriminatory; he only greeted and assisted the people he chose, and he only apologised to the guests he chose as well. You can obtain meals with a similar taste at other restaurants that provide far better service than this one. The food was average, and not worth the wait.
