I want to start with i love everything about all "The Coffee Club's" except this one.
My experience at this one shop is as follows over the last 7 days in Patpong...
Visit #1. I came and ordered eggs with salmon and smashed avocado (eggs were ordered sunnyside up). Firstly they bought my food with the wrong eggs, secondly they came back with the right eggs but for some reason decided to not give me Salmon, third try they got it right.
Visit #2, i asked for the hottest coffee they can make. It came out as lukewarm, i sent it back and came back hot. I would like to note that before the lady replaced my coffee she told me it was as hot as they can make it, so i put my finger into the cup and held it there until she was satisfied that it actually wasnt hot.
Visit #3: After visit #2 i had already decided not to return to this shop. However, my wife and i got out of bed at different times, i went to a different "The Coffee Club" on the same road but opposite Central - which out of interest was perfect, just like every other Coffee Club i have been too. But my wife thought i was at this shop i am reviewing so she walked there. She calked me so I went to meet her and agaist my better judgement i tried again and ordered a very hot latte (Siam roast). I was one of 5 people, as it turned out they bought everyones order except mine. They then bought me my lukewarm coffee and i am pretty sure it wasn't Siam Roast blend. This time i didnt send it back, but decided to write this review instead.
Personally i will never order from this shop again...
I will however continue to support "The Coffee Shop" as a company, because apart from this experience i am 100% sold on The Coffee Club. My guess is i would have been to a minimum of 20 different shops around Australia/Thailand/pretty sure Cambodia and...
Read moreWould have rated it 0 if it was possible. Saying this as a waiter myself. It was the Absolute worst service I have ever gotten in my life. Food was very bad as well. Ordered thai and italian food - all tasted bad. It honestly felt like the waiters just chose not to think things through. I’m not saying this to be harsh — that’s genuinely how it came across.
I will give a few examples(important to mention - people were sitting in only about 3 other tables in the entire restaurant) : • We sat 5 people for lunch, we were brought only 1 napkin. • They didnt get us enough silverware for everyone. • The waiters literally talked and laughed with other workers about us in front of us. • We asked specifically for a non spicy meal. It was filled with red chilli peppers. • The loudest people in the restaurant were the staff. • We ordered two bottles of water(it was the only drink we ordered). We were brought bottles with no glasses. We asked for the glasses, ans the waiter was going to give us only 1 glass for some reason. We asked her for 5, she told us ok, and continued on to forget about our request and talk to the other waiters😐.
As surprising as it may sound, I can go on, but i think the point has been made
On the good side of things, they said thank you with a smile when we left.
Overall - surprisingly bad, stay away, and i have no idea how their...
Read moreI'm not quite sure why this place gets such good reviews. I've eaten in restaurants all around the world (see for yourself ... I have 167 posted reviews). I don't normally leave bad reviews, so I'll start with the good. They have fantastic coffee, and the server was very friendly and polite, that is, when she eventually arrived. Now the bad. I waited 15 minutes to be served. I don't blame the server. Owner should have more staff working during busy breakfast hours. The bacon was raw, but everything else was good. As I mentioned above ... the coffee was the best I've had anywhere in the world. The chairs on the patio are terribly uncomfortable. The free wifi makes you sign up to a sketchy site that asks for your passport number. Lastly, they add a 10% service charge to every bill. That's the first time I've seen such a charge in Thailand. I asked the server if that was an embedded tip. She said no and that the money goes to the owner. I won't be back. There's better breakfast...
