What a street. Amazing, mind blowing. Thats my next home haha. Must visit when u visit patong thats really really good. Such a great ambience for drink lovers. Few places i liked the most were Star Bar, New York bar, Barbie Bar and my most most most insanely favourite ILLUZION like for real the best Couple entry is free and trust me, you’ll not regret visiting. Yes its a bit expensive and smoggy but vibe is 🔥💯 Nestled in the heart of Patong’s vibrant Bangla Road, the New York Bar stands as a beacon for live music enthusiasts seeking an unforgettable night out in Phuket. This spacious venue is renowned for its energetic atmosphere, exceptional live performances, and attentive service, making it a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists alike.

Just awesome, great to experience at once in a lifetime. The street bars are full of welcoming and pretty women (and Lady Boys) ages can range from early 20's to 50 but still stunning. Bars have a mamasan who is the boss of the bar/bistro, her role is to me ake all guests welcome and look after their staff. If you want to take a worker away from the establishment you will be charged with what is called a "Bar Fine" whether you want to just take her to dinner for company or take things to the next level. Great for guys traveling alone but nothing like this is available for women. The culture is to keep you at the bar and drink a lot and buying the ladies what's called "Ladies Drinks" and they drink them while working and dancing all night long! A beer is 200-400 Bhat $10-15 USD and a Ladies drink is around 150-200 bht the girls get a commission of around 100bht per drink. They are always persuasive and don't drink to get drunk as they generally want to be picked up for the night. They will entice you to play a dice game of luck for drinks, or they will pull out connect 4 and trashy your ass lol. Still great fun, I was traveling with my Thai partner Daughter and Brother so if you're traveling with your partner they will approach you less but it's always great to get involved and have some fun. Weed shops are everywhere every 20mtrs in every direction where smokers can sit safely and smoke a pre rolled joint or do takeaway, edibles are also available inc, herb coffee drinks. It's not advised that you walk and smoke but it does happen. I was there for a week and never saw one copy on the streets. People on the streets are a mix of nationality and everyone was well behaved. We started at the Patong Resort Hotel. Highly recommend and a short walk to the action. Traffic is mental but attractions like Lion Tiger Elephant and Phiphi Island are good daytime attractions before you hit the nightlife. One of the reasons we chose Bangla Rd was it's central location and only 45-1hr trips we managed to get my daughter's teeth sorted (5 Extractions plus other essential work that would have cost $10,000 usd for a third of the cost.)
