A Series of Disappointments from the Start
I encountered issues right from the beginning of my stay at Paripas Patong Resort. Due to a duplicate booking, I needed to extend my stay for one extra night. Not only was I extremely overcharged for this additional night but which notably did not include breakfast for 3.7 THB a night,... The overall experience felt rushed and unaccommodating.
Most interactions with the front office were subpar; the staff’s behavior came across as unprofessional and more focused on hustling through their duties than providing genuine service, I often spot them having chit chat rather than standing and welcoming guest. I even had the misfortune of witnessing my friend arrive without the promised welcome drink, a small courtesy that, when absent, left me feeling extremely embarrassed.
I attempted to address my concerns with the manager, but instead of taking charge, she interrupted our conversation three times to handle other matters. Her inability to follow up on my request left me completely in the dark, which only added to the frustration.
While I must note that a few staff members such as the bellman and cleaning crew were doing good, the negative energy radiated mostly by the lobby staff tainted the experience from start to finish.
Now, regarding breakfast: even for a hotel in Thailand, where good food is expected, the breakfast was the worst I’ve encountered, lacking in both variety and care. For the last night I wouldn’t have minded if my booking hadn’t excluded breakfast, but a complimentary coffee or even a warm gesture would have gone a long way but no, I was deny my last morning breakfast firmly by the staff. I was exhausted and didn't felt like asking for a coffee, went next door, spend much less and had much more fun.
The silver lining is the location, which is indeed nice, but no amount of charm can cover for the room’s poor maintenance. A defective construction issue meant that a foul toilet odor seeped throughout the hotel, making the entire property smell awful.
In summary, this hotel had potential, but poor management, unexpected charges, inconsistent service, and maintenance issues have left me extremely disappointed. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve the guest experience in the future.
Bad bad bad, change management !
Note: (I do not often give bad reviews like that but it was really terrible for...

I was really excited as seen in the pictures, it looked like there would be an amazing view when I booked the room with a view, however, when I checked into the room, the view we got was just run-down buildings and half the view was blocked by a wall, there was another option for a no-view room and I did not select it. The air-conditioner was right at the balcony so whenever we wanted to sit outside, it would be horribly warm if the aircon was switched on.
On top of that, the hotel’s wifi was not very good, we had to connect and re-connect to it multiple times as it kept losing connection.
When we first checked into the room, the toilet door got locked a few times after we closed it even though we were sure we had not lock it, and the staffs had to come up to help. In order to avoid this, we did not close the toilet door for the rest of our stay here.
Im not the kind of person to complain but what triggered this review was when I asked for a late check out hoping there will be no fees as our flight was late at night, but it’s understandable if we had to pay for any check outs after 3+ hours. I was shocked to see we had to pay an extra 50% of the room rates even for a late check out for an extra ONE hour. I had also emailed way in advanced even before reaching this hotel.
From all the hotels I’ve been to, we were always granted an extra hour of check out without any fees at all, furthermore, from all the disappointments I’ve had, maybe it could have been better if we could have that extra hour of check out. Why so salty? Because I feel like my money’s not worth.
I liked the toilet just not the door, the bidet was spoilt and would splash everywhere and leak out when we switched it on, but at least there is a bidet.
The bed was normal with 2 pillows and 2 smaller pillows.
TV is not a smart TV so you can’t screen mirror or use Netflix on it whatsoever.
Overall, this stay was about 450 USD for 6 nights, it was OK since it fulfilled my basic needs and at least it wasn’t dirty but I wouldn’t say it’s worth my money in any single way, the only reason why I had chose this hotel was because of the good reviews instead of others with bad reviews. Really really...
Read moreWe have been visiting Phuket for over 15 years and have stayed at a number of resorts during this time.
In this occasion (April 2024) we were recommended by friends to try Paripas Patong Resort which after looking at the resort online and prices I decided to book for three weeks.
Right from the onset the communication from the resort was outstanding. I emailed the resort and requested a room with a view if possible and I was contacted by Santi who informed me he would do the best he could as it was a busy period.
On arrival we were greeted by Santi and he informed us that he upgraded us to the VIP floor {Level 6) with a sea view. He could not do enough for us and was so polite and friendly. The level of customer service he provided to us then and throughout our stay was EXCEPTIONAL. Far better service than we have received in other 4.5/5 star resorts we have stayed in the past! Santi is a truly lovely man and a real assets to the resort.
The room could not be faulted. Very clean, well maintained and had everything plus more for a 4 star resort. The beds are so comfortable as well.
The housekeeping staff especially the regular Staff member who cleaned our room from 1/4-22/4 was absolutely wonderful. Always smiling and friendly and the room was cleaned perfectly.
The resort pools are also great and the gym is perfect. Parking onsite is perfect as well.
Value for money, this resort is hands down one of the best and situated within walking distance to everything
The Paripas Patong Resort is definitely our number one resort for all our future stays and already in the process of booking our room 6117 for our next stay.
My wife and I would like to thank Santi and the lovely housekeeping staff member who took care of us and all the staff from the resort. You really made our stay very enjoyable
I hope Management take note and reward the staff for their outstanding customer service as it’s because of these staff members that we will be returning loyal guests for years to come.
Highly recommended this...
