I'm sad to say that this is among the poorer levels of service I've received at a Hard Rock Cafe. If it weren't for the amazing live band and cool memorabilia/design of the place, it would be a one-star.
From the get-go, I didn't feel very welcome upon arrival. While eventually a member of staff came to welcome bunch of us, I had asked if I could sit outside. They discussed for a little bit before directing me outside, albeit looking quite annoyed at my choice (where apparently most were sitting inside away from the live band).
I'm outside now and I've sat down. The amazing live band is going, but I'm left fairly appalled at the service (and F&B offering). The server came around after about 5-10 mins and took my order. No smile and quietly took down my order. No introduction of himself, so I'm not sure what his name was. While there wasn't anything wrong he did, the lack of a warm smile or personality that Hard Rock staff normally have was sad.
When my USD 25 Gin and Tonic came, I was appalled at the size of the cocktail. Miniscule for the price. I know that it costs more than the other cocktails (I've had the same thing at other HR Cafes) but this was tiny in comparison. The server did ask if I was okay with the price. The price was fine but I'm definitely not okay with the size. The smashed burgers were also not in line with the usual Hard Rock standards. Size of the patties was small in comparison to the burger and the meat did not taste very fresh.
When I was done with my meal, for some reason I decided to order the ice cream and brownie (as per my tradition). The server had a puzzled look and asked if I'm sure. If I ordered it, I surely would want it without any question. The brownie comes and thankfully it was nicely done and unlike the usual presentation (a good thing perhaps).
Time comes to pay, and the server was not very aware of the Unity membership at Hard Rock. Anyway all settled and good, I walk around the restaurant to see the memorabilia. The manager keeps giving me dirty looks, as though I was loitering without being a customer. WHAT. Not even a smile or hello. Perhaps not intentional but it just doesnt give a good impression. At the Rock Shop, there was just no incentive to promote products to customers.
I spent USD 112 by myself across all the bits of the restaurant, but didn't get quite the Hard Rock vibe or treatment. It was just like an average restaurant (probably worse based on Thai hospitality standards).
I really hope it was just my experience, but you should think twice before spending all that money expecting a Hard...
Read moreThis is a great spot in Phuket for shopping Hard Rock accessories and memorabilia. Whether you’re a long-time fan or just love iconic music culture, the shop offers a solid selection of legendary items that are definitely worth checking out. From classic shirts and pins to collectibles and exclusive pieces, it’s a cool place to browse and pick up something memorable.
What made the visit even better was the incredible support from the staff. They were friendly, enthusiastic, and really knew their stuff. One staff member even guided me directly to a jacket inspired by Axl Rose, which was such a highlight for a rock fan like me. Their passion for the brand and attention to customer service really stood out.
If you’re in Phuket and a fan of music, especially rock legends, this place is well worth a visit. Even if you’re just window shopping, the vibe and energy of the store make it a fun stop...
Read moreWe went here when we visited phuket. It was our first night and arrived quite late so decided to go here since it was close to the hotel and saved us looking for somewhere for dinner. The lady that served us was lovely and very attentive but when the food came out my sauce had oil sitting on top and I never touched it, the pulled pork that was in the burger was very fatty and dry, seemed like it had been sitting for a few days, my husbands burger wasn't any better. The menu was very old and torn, the toilets had no toilet roll or soap for your hands, smelt of damp aswell. The place is in need of a renovation big time! It was very dear compared to the rest of Phukets food, even hooters next door, their food was by far the best and cheaper. The next day after eating in hard rock my husband got very ill also. Avoid the place if you can and head...
