There’s something about a place where you can just sit and let the world unfold in front of you—no frills, no forced charm. Cocktail Corner is that kind of place. A crow’s nest of sorts, where you can park yourself above the street, drink in hand, with the Gulf of Siam framed perfectly in the distance.

The menu doesn’t try to impress you with pretension. It’s a solid mix of local staples and tourist go-tos, priced like they actually want you to come back. I had a spicy salad with Vietnamese sausage that hit all the right notes—fiery, sharp, unapologetic. The grilled pork neck? Tender enough to make you pause mid-bite, just to appreciate how something so simple can be so damn good.

I’d walked past this spot more times than I can count, always thinking, maybe next time. Well, next time finally came, and it didn’t disappoint. No gimmicks, no pandering. Just good food, a good view, and a place that feels like it’s been waiting for you to stop making excuses. I’ll be back....
