I love Kungs, excellent sausages and atmosphere with an interesting 'view' onto the street. My only criticism is the sullen unsmiling service, especially in the evenings, and the fact that when I last turned up, on a very sultry, muggy evening, all the A/C's were turned off and it was like a sauna inside. The excuse was 'save money' which would be fine if it weren't for the fact that Kungs must make a very good income as it's very popular. My advice would be don't be such cheapskate! As an addendum to my review, I notice the owner has replied and like so many restaurant owners here in Pattaya immediately goes on the offensive which is not the way to handle customers. Supposedly, the customer is always right?! When I mentioned the sullen attitude of the service staff it wasn't aimed at that particular evening but the evening staff in general, especially outside, one of whom literally threw the menu at me one evening! As a restaurant owner it is better surely to act graciously and take on board critcism and not to immediately assume the customer is wrong but, being Pattaya, this is maybe too much to ask for! Regarding the A/C, you must surely know it costs more to turn it on and off than to just keep it running and why should your customers have to expect to sit in a sauna for 10 mins whilst it cools down, I maintain this is a cheap attitude and also not very kind towards your staff who also have to sit in a sauna, maybe that's why...

Made me pay for food that was just thrown away because of their mistake. I don't even care for paying just to get out of awkward situation, but these people are dishonest when they're clearly in the wrong. If you see this place, just keep walking.

Read moreI just want to say that the food from Kungs is excellent, and I live the menu item choices. My complaint here is not with Kungs. My complaint is with GRAB. I have ordered from Kungs 7 times in the last 2 days, but GRAB keeps cancelling the orders. At 400-600baht per order that's potentially...well, 1200baht lost from just one customer. But how many other customers are having the same problem with GRAB? GRAB is a garbage company. I have tried to contact them on numerous occasions and never receive a reply, or if I do. It's fruitless and goes nowhere. Unless people stop using the GRAB services, it will continue to be a company with bad service that actually hurts businesses, rather than helping them. They still owe me a refund from like 4 months ago. They say they paid, but it never went into my bank. My advice to tourists here is don't use GRAB.
