There are no words to describe how good their Khao Soi is. You’ll just have to try it for yourself. I’m not one to brag about my eating exploits… but I do feel a slight bit of satisfaction knowing that I ate here at its peak. Not that I would expect any kind of decline in the near future… but to me, this is the pinnacle of good eating.
Before trying new Thai dishes, I like to do a little research and find something that might knock my socks off. A little research brought me here. I’ve tried 4 other Khao Soi dishes in Bangkok - all of them highly recommended. While they were all good, or even excellent in their own right - none of them measure up to this place.
This is one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Absolutely the best in Thailand, and it measures right up there with the best steaks/sushi and American BBQ meals I’ve ever had.
Every element of the dish hits with absolute exquisite perfection.
The curry is divine. Perfectly spiced and balanced. Just the right amount of sweetness and heat with a coconut cream base that is neither too thick/rich or too thin. It is just right.
The chicken falls off the bone in a way I’ve never seen before and it is cooked/flavored just right.
The first time I ate here, the noodles had this recognizable inconsistency that hinted at them being homemade - I have no doubt they are, but my 2nd visit, the noodles seemed to be much more homogenous. First visit was late at night, maybe the noodles were just a little dried out?
The owners/employees are all so sweet and humble too - lovely people.

Khao Soi made just like Chiang Mai(CM): Curry was perfect . Very mild spicy, coconut milk and subtle herbs. Served w/tender fall off the bone chicken drumstick, crispy and wet noodles and side of fresh shallots , fermented vegetable and lime. Closes your eyes and enjoy CM again.
Miang: dried shrimp , pork, peanuts and cilantro, rolled up in a rice noodle served with a sweet(honey like) and sour(fish sauce) fried shallots dipping sauce. Popping flavors and textures: sweet, sour, crunchy , citrus ……Amaziiiiiiiiiiiig !!!!!!
Chao Kwai: refreshing herb jelly in a sweet herb soup piled high with ice. Reminds me of the Chinese grass jelly drink . A perfect ending...
Read moreThe Khao Soi was AMAZING! 1000/10 The chicken melted off the bone like butter, the broth was perfectly spiced , the fried egg noodles had a wonderful crunch.
I spent a month in Chiang Mai, and went to several places, specifically for the Khao Soi. I can say comfortably this is the tastiest one I've ever had
Dishes are a little on the smaller side, but are super cheap. This was perfect for me because I got to try a few things, without wasting food.
They keep free pitchers of water at the table, and have purified ice. The server I had was super sweet, and the food came out in like 5 minutes.
I can't say enough nice things about this...
