RIP OFF and SCAM (read until the end if you want to know how).
7 years in Thailand. I just paid a tea 500 baht (15$)!! The price for a tea is between 50 to 150 baht according to the product and the type of restaurant /café. Including ice, whip cream and other extra things. Mine was nature + Jasmine only, and hot. I know the prices very well as a long time consumer and since many Thai friends are owners of coffee shops here. The Russian Manager told me that their (average) tea was imported from China. I laughed at this argument as many products and tea are bought in China anyway. It's BS.
Also, while my dish "Pad grapao" remained expensive, it also didn't go beyond the top of the price range. I accepted it. However it was absolutely disgusting and I had to order, in Thai, the missing ingredients of the dish. For the people who don't know, this dish is one of the most common Thai dishes in Thailand. Not being able to cook it with all the ingredients means that their staff is strongly incompetent! I hated the food there.
So, Why I said SCAM? Well, I keep hearing similar stories from people around... I invited one of those Russian girls living in my district during day time. For our first date, she is insisted to go to this Russian restaurant Cove Pub and she ordered this tea. I didn't check the price as it was supposed to be normal (2 or 4$, not 15$!). I clearly feel she gets a commission on ordering things at rip-off prices, especially when I saw her talking to the owner like friends...
Of course, no one checks the price on the menu as no one expects this rip off, which is extremely rare in Thailand... but it was a Russian restaurant. Draw your own...
Read moreExcellent place, 10 out of 10! Everything here is perfect: fast and pleasant service, delicious food, and most importantly, they accept cards with no extra charge! The food was amazingly tasty – juicy kebabs, delicious dumplings (juicy, lots of meat, not overloaded with onions and garlic, thin yet firm dough), an incredible cheburek (flavorful filling, juicy, large, with crispy thin dough), and great chicken wings. The beer was delicious, too. The waitress was very sweet, friendly, attentive, and unobtrusive.
The food was so delicious that I didn’t even have time to take a photo – it was just that good!
I definitely recommend...
Read moreI could not figure out how I should rate this establishment. I have driven by it on many numerous occasions and just did not have the time to stop. Fast forward until tonight and I stopped at 1AM. Once I found myself inside I thought I was in Moscow. It was Russian karoke night and the singing and music was blaring. Found my spot in front of the Sam Miguel Black tap and decided to try it. At 5% it was very tasty and just a tad heavy. In no time I was done and out the door. I did meet a brit and the Barkeep gave greeted me and filled a delicious beer. I took no photos since I left my phone in the car. I did not try any food...
