The Pig & Whistle English Pub Jomtien — Restaurant in Pattaya City

The Pig & Whistle is like a British pub serving generous portions of wholesome food. There are tv screens to watch the Fottie on & Sky news with their continuous repeated news. They have daily English newspapers to read whilst enjoying a pint of Magners, Guinness or lager. They have daily drinks promotions & food specials. They are open all day so you can have an english breakfast anytime upto 11.30 pm when the kitchen closes. There are various breakfasts options available with proper english sausage & pots of tea. The main courses include homemade pie with chips, roast chicken,lamb & pork avaiable eveyday with fresh veg & roast potatoes. They have Gammon, Chicken curry, pork chops, goulash, fish & chips & a Thai menu too. The waitresses are very friendly & always happy to serve you with a smile. I have never had a bad meal here, the food is hot & tasty all served with fresh vegtables. A must place to visit anytime of the day whenever you're hungry. Not to be confused with the other Pig & Whistle in Pattaya. This one is in jomtien We always seemed to end up here when we made no dinner plans & wanted to eat real good, hot English...

I don’t normally like to leave bad reviews but I felt like I needed to say something about the food in this place.

I had the beef stew special today. It was the worst I have ever had the beef was so tough I couldn’t chew it.

I wasn’t able to inform the waitress after she dropped off the food, because we didn’t see her again, I had go track her down.

I have to say after I told the waitress about the food she went to the manager immediately she came back and asked if we would like something different. so I thought maybe it was just the soup that day. I ordered a hamburger well done.

The hamburger came out still raw in the middle so I asked if she could cook it more, which she did.

I got it back and bit into it only to find It was a mixture of hamburger and bread and not 100% beef as advertised in the menu, I didn’t eat it.

This is a lovely comfortable place with A.C. and really good food. I had two meals there at 250 baht both were high quality English pub food. English sports Fox news on large Flat screen TV's. 500 meters from Jomtien beach and on the main road. A welcome break from two weeks of Thai food and hot weather. Staff are good and don't push you to eat up and get out. I spent two peaceful hours relaxing on soft leather booth chairs....
