Nestled right on the shoreline, next to our hotel, this beachfront restaurant offers stunning ocean views and a breezy, laid-back vibe. It’s one of the reasons we enjoy our Thai foods every single day.
As a Thai, I have been impressed by the taste of each menu we ordered. All taste wonderful, and sooo fresh!! Plus they deliver food in less than 10 minutes.
We love all the menus we ordered ranging from Tom kha Kai, pineapple fried rice, curry, Chicken cashew nuts, fresh young coconut, mango smoothie, etc.
The Pineapple Fried Rice perfectly balances sweet and savory flavors, while the Crispy Shrimps are fresh, crunchy, and deliciously moreish. It has become our kid’s favorite food.
For those seeking a fragrant and creamy dish, the Green Curry packs a pleasant punch without overwhelming the palate.
Meanwhile, the Spicy Basil dish bursts with fresh basil aroma and a satisfying kick of heat.
Don’t forget to cool off with a Fresh Young Coconut—the perfect tropical thirst-quencher or mango smoothie 🥭. And you can’t thank me enough!
We also watched the fire show in the evening and it was really cool and fascinating. If you don’t know what to do, try coming here. It doesn’t cost extra but you can leave some tips for the performers.
Overall, it’s a must-visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy vibrant Thai flavors by the sea. The prices are half compared to dining at the hotels. The location is perfectly facing the sunset. So enjoy freshly cooked foods, cold coconut water and feet...
Read moreWe tried most restaurants in the area over the course of 16 meals and Happy was one of our top experiences (along with Double Tree and Otto) and a place we returned to a few times. Everything is made to order. We started with shrimp spring rolls and they were the best iteration we had the entire trio of spring rolls (and we tried them at nearly every restaurant). The batter of the spring rolls is tempura-like and the rolls are big vs the tiny ones.
One time I had massaman curry (best massaman I had during the trip) and my boyfriend got black pepper and ginger shrimp. Another time we got the pineapple fried rice and it was so good we ordered it again the next time we were there. My boyfriend ordered the pad Thai and loved it. And all was delicious!
The drink menu is abundant. We had aperol spritz at one sunset (had low expectations and they were exceeded), the Thai Thai drink another night (so tasty and smooth) and I had one of the pineapple drinks (the one with white and dark rum) and it hit the spot.
Thursdays from 7:30-8 there’s a fire show on the beach outside the restaurant so you should reserve a table if you want to see that.

Read moreSadly our meal didn't quite live up to expectations from previous reviews. We arrived and felt quite rushed despite having booked a table at 5.30pm...the waitress was literally hovering over us and once we had ordered then commenced a sales pitch for a bunch of tours that we hadn't asked about! The food was ok - I've had a lot better tbh but the whole deep fried fish with mango salad was a highlight. 1600 baht though is a lot to pay for 2 adults and 2 kids esp as the portions were not very big. I'd looked forward to the beach but sadly the rubbish was piled up everywhere you looked. The owners clearly would need to pay to have it removed from the beach and it must be a daily battle, but other beach bars we have been to (eg Krua Thai) nearby seem to take more pride in their surroundings and the beaches and public areas they work on were a lot cleaner. Would I go...
