Food As Brits, we do appreciate a good curry, and while this spot was decent for the area, it wouldn’t be our top pick. We shared onion bhajis and dips to start – very tasty and definitely recommended. For mains, we had a chicken tikka masala and a chicken vindaloo. We specifically requested the vindaloo to be “hot” in spice , but unfortunately, it arrived warm, not hot hot (temperature) and very mild – lacking the expected heat entirely. It felt like the spice level may have been adjusted down due to us being European, despite our clear request and it being labelled as hot on the menu. The chicken itself was tender and flavourful, so there is quality there – just not executed as we hoped. Service The local Thai staff were polite and smiling, which we appreciated. However, the two Indian staff members – possibly including the owner – lacked warmth and made us feel rather invisible, especially considering we were the only customers on a Friday night. A simple check-in to ask how our meal was would have gone a long way. Decoration The decor is quite basic, and the loud Indian news playing on the TV with a shouting presenter was initially jarring. Thankfully, we were able to tune it out after a while. Still, a more ambient setting would improve the dining experience significantly. Conclusion This restaurant shows potential – the food has a solid base, and the ingredients are good. However, better attention to customer interaction, proper spice levels when requested, warmer serving plates, and a more welcoming atmosphere would elevate the experience. It’s okay for a casual meal, but not quite the go-to curry house we were hoping for.

Was in the mood for some dahl... Taj Mahal, Khao Lak Cute little restaurant, open air cafe style Seems they do a lot of take away orders, not much dining in. I was the only one. I ordered dal makhani, thick black lentil soup. Meant to be eaten with chapati or roti. I brought and added shredded kale to mine. Instant iron and B'vitamins boost! Flavors were mild, not spicy. Would have liked some 🔥 Seems like no chili... A bit pricey at 180 baht for one small bowl of dahl and nothing else. For some reason, Indian food is on par with Western food prices in Thailand. Everywhere else (excluding Thailand) Indian food is super affordable. I don't understand the high prices since it's just vegetables and lentils...?

Very authentic Indian restaurant in Khao lak, situated in main bang niang market, (they are moving to main road, now it will be easy to find). Spices they source from India, every single items they prepare with utmost care and follow authentic Indian process. Prices are affordable keeping in mind Khao Lak where very few serves Indian food and that too authentic food 😋 I throughly enjoyed food out there and will recommed all who love Indian food. Restaurant staffs are very friendly and humble which make you feel good !!

The service here is pretty bad. The man who took our order seemed to be in a very bad mood and was not helpful at all. He seemed to be annoyed when he took our order. We ordered two chicken tikka masalas and they each come with rice. When we got our food we were only given one side of rice. I had to get our servers attention who I'm assuming was also the manager (he was standing at the desk in the bar area)about the missing side of rice.....he said he would bring us some more rice and never did. He passed us by like 20 times and never even made eye contact. During the entire dining experience he never returned to the table to check on us. He was also annoyed when I asked for a side of onions. Part of the dining experience is the service and this place needs to get it together. I will not be returning to this...

I have known about this place for many years and finally tried it out with a friend who LOVES the flavors of India! Now the place does not look like much and actually almost gives you a feeling that it may be better to avoid the place at first glance. Sometimes the best things you find are in the places you least expect and happily this was one of those places. My friend ordered the food, as I had no idea about Indian cuisine, and much to my delight and surprise...I loved it all. Rich flavors, cool looking dishes and (in my somewhat limited experience with this ethnic food), generally a 10 on the "yummy scale". Prices were good, the food was great and I generally enjoyed my dining experience and would highly recommend this place....
