I was a matcha connoisseur myself who has passion of savoring its complex taste and interested to find a great place for matcha. To be brutally honest, this place was really small, but it was well decorated, so it is not surprising if there are few people. The matcha itself was high quality judging on its colors, and the complex taste. However I would still not recommend due to its unacceptable flaws.
Firstly the staff was not knowledgeable in the matcha itself, they didn’t whisk the matcha properly, and the staff was tell me many false information about matcha. Though I am just starting the matcha course, and I am not fully an expert but I know how the tradition was like and I know how to compare the difference between ceremonial and culinary matcha grade, which the staff tells me all of his matcha is ceremonial grade. The staff was acting as he knows a lot about matcha but he failed to follow many precautions such as during the serving of koicha the staff doesn’t allow me to add water.
Moreover, the price of the matcha is too high. I ordered a koicha for 700+ baht, and the staff didn’t perform the whisk properly and there are some matcha powder leftover. Normally koicha would not be more than 300 baht no matter what quality it was. I went to a cheaper tea house that served me Matcha Tenju of Koyamaen tea making shop which is considered the best koicha around and it was only 250 baht.
Finally I would say that this is the feedback I wanted to give. If any of the staff is listening please accept my feedback as I am willing to help making it better, in fact...

🍵 COLD USUCHA - Asahi (260 baht) The Asahi Cold Usucha offers a modern twist on the traditional "Usucha" or thin tea.
Served with ice in a chawan from Shizuoka, it's described as high in umami, powerful, and full-bodied with a rainforest green aroma. While it's noted to be mellow and round with a long aftertaste, I found it to be mildly bitter and astringent. For me, the umami flavors didn't come through as strongly as expected, but it was pleasantly grassy. A highlight of the experience was the ability to choose my own chawan, which made the preparation feel like a lovely, personal dance.
🍵 Layered Kikugawa Latte (190 baht) The tea master recommended the off-the-menu seasonal special, the Layered Kikugawa Latte, and it truly wowed me. My only critique is the milk, which I found too fatty, as it overpowered the natural matcha aroma and rounded off the bitterness.
However, the first sip of the foam on top was fantastic. High in umami with distinct seaweed and grassy notes. I would prefer a mellower milk choice, but overall, it was an excellent recommendation.
Service & Ambiance The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The space is small but very comfortable, making for a...
Read moreThis small shop for matcha is recommended to havereservation. The interior has only a few tables and some tatami space with two tables.
The matcha and tea menu is quite extensive, offering many variations to choose from. They also have some Japanese desserts, including dango and ice cream, to enjoy.
The matcha is well-made, of high quality, and very pleasant to drink. We can customize the milk to oat milk. Surprisingly, for someone who doesnt like pure matcha, matcha mixed with rose has a distinct rose taste and blends well with the matcha, it was served beautifully.
The dessert mitarashi dango is quite ordinary, but it’s still good to enjoy with matcha. It’s served warm with a sauce. The hojicha ice cream is delicious and not too sweet. It blends well with azuki bean and dango.
Good place to try in bangkok for matcha experience ....
