The Rock Pub — Restaurant in Phaya Thai Subdistrict

I had a bad experience at this venue. My friends booked and paid for a table in advance. I arrived over an hour before them but the staff on the door refused to let me in. They said that they were not sure my friends had paid even though we were on the list of guests who had pre booked tables. I then called my friend, who is Thai, and she spoke to the staff member and explained that she had paid for everything. A staff member called Jeep, who was very rude, changed tack and said that I still could not enter as they were carrying out a sound check. This was a blatant lie. I looked through the front window and saw that a group were playing and people inside were enjoying themselves and having drinks. I then left and walked, in the rain, for around 10 minutes to find another place where I could wait for my friends. When my friends arrived, I joined them and we went inside. I was not impressed with the venue. The drinks were expensive and the toilets were a disgrace. The sound for the headline act was distinctly off too. I will never go...

Initially there was some confusion about free drinks for the purchased voucher. Spoke to management and it got sorted, thank you for helping with this aspect and sorry for being pric$ ... I hadn’t yet wound down from a long week.

Anyways a few beers in and all was well, the vibe was excellent and people were enjoying the great sound from the multiple bands entertaining throughout the night.

For me the biggest stand out performance was the 2 piece band with a bass guitar and drummer who absolutely rocked the bar and put on an amazing performance, I would love to come back just to see them perform .
