Had eaten my whole meal before I remembered to take a picture! This unassuming restaurant right next to Tha Chang pier and the Grand Palace gave us one of the best dining experiences we had in Thailand. The pad Thai and stir fried rice were phenomenal. They both had really high quality chicken and the difference from other pad Thai’s we have had was palpable. (For only 60 THB) The Thai tea was exquisite. If you are having a day around the Grand Palace make sure to stop at this place for some well deserved food after. You won’t regret it. The owner is very kind and helpful. Thank you 🙏 😅

Think this place is a little overhyped. Food is indeed excellent and surprisingly cheap considering the touristy location. But the service is very stressed which is unusual in Thailand. Portion was also on the smaller side… And the “lemonade” I ordered was just water with ice. Feels like they want you to enter and leave asap. Be prepared to share your table with others too btw since they do want the maximum amount of guests. It’s also the first time I’m told I’m not allowed to charge my phone at a restaurant as a paying customer.

Nevermind the Grand Palace, to get a real sense of Thai culture this family run restaurant will do more than satisfy. Going since 1904, it holds on to traditional Thai food, I have come twice and ordered the vegetable pad Thai twice, one Mango smoothie and of course their famous mango sticky rice which they only sell when the mangos are at their best. Right next to the Grand Palace, it offers a welcome break from the sun and walking with world class friendly service, culture, and Thai vibes. It's a must go.

Deceptively good review for overpriced food of bad quality. Rarely you can manage to cook Thai cuisine badly and this store manages that. Unfresh ingredients for basil pork and with excessive cooking wine, overly waterly phad Thai, Tom yum soup with no spices, mango smoothie full of syrup taste.

I suspect the high reviews are due to (1) it’s clearly targeting tourists who more or less have no idea of what authentic Thai food tastes like and are easily impressed by the presence of their native language (2) the old workers so sympathy points. I do hope the old workers are actually owners instead of sympathy tools by some invisible fat...
