ตลาดพระเครื่องท่าพระจันทร์ ตลาดพระที่ใหญ่ที่สุดของประเทศไทยและสมัยก่อน พระเครื่องตลาดพระเริ่มแรกเดิมตั้งอยู่ในวัดมหาธาตุ ปี2530. จากเดิมที่สมัยก่อนในสนามหลวงรอบๆสนามสมัยก่อนมีตลาดนัดมาก่อนด้วยและในวัดมหาธาตุเริ่มมีตลาดนัดขายผักขายสิ่งของต่างๆและขายยาสมุนไพรแผนโบราณมียาสมุนไพรทุกชนิด และวัดมหาธาตุในบริเวณวัดริเริ่มตลาดนัดตีอจากที่ในสนามหลวงตลาดนัดแออัดถูกจัดระเบียบใหัไปรวมตัวจัดสถานที่ตั้งค้าขายไปสวนจัตตุจักร. และแย่งส่วนหนึ่งตั้งอยู่ในวัดมหาธาตุ ได้มีตลาดนัดย่อมๆเล็ก ตลาดพระเล็กสมัยกีอนพระเครื่องวัดต่างๆมีอยู่ในวัดมหาธาตุมีพระเครื่องหลายสาขาหลายวัดและเริ่มจากราคาพระเครื่องหลักสิบหลักร้อยหลักพัน และสนามตลาดพระเครื่องท่าพระจันทร์ ทยอยมีพระเครื่องวัดต่างๆและพระทั่วพระเทศไทยพระแท้ทั้งใหท่และเก่าได้มีการให้เช่าบูชาทั้งพระใหม่ที่พระสายหลวงพ่อต่างๆปลุกเสกและออกมาให้เช่าบูชาใหม่ๆได้มีการเช่าหาบูชากันและพระเครื่องต่างๆเข้าสู่สนามพระเครื่องท่าพระจันทร์มีราคาต่างๆไปสู่มือเซียนพระและมีการเช่าพระระหว่างราคาจากเซียนพระราคาหลักร้อยไหลเปลี่ยนมือกับเซียนพระท่าเช่าราคาไปหลักพันหลักหมื่นหลักแสนหลักล้าน และพระเครื่องราคาพระที่เริ่มมีราคาเเพงในสมัยปี สองพันห้าร้อยสามศูนย์ไปก่อน และรอบโรงเรียนธรรมศาสตร์ (ท่าพระจันทร์). มีพ่อค้าแม่ค้าวางพระให้เช่าบูชารอบๆโรงเรียนธรรมศาสตร์ ได้เห็นพระเครื่อง พระเหรียญดังๆ เช่นหลวงพ่อเดิม,วัดหนองโพ,วัดหนองหลวง,วัดหนองบัว, พระรูปหล่อปั้มและพระหล่อ เครื่องรางมีดหมอ,พระงาแกะและสิ่งอื่นๆลวงพ่อพรหม. วัดช่องแค,หลวงพ่อคง วัดบางกระพ้อม และพระเครื่อวาายต่างๆมารวมอยู่ที่สนามท่าพระจันทร์ และวัดราชานัดดาตลาดพระเครื่องก็แตกสาขาย่อมหนึ่งของร้านพระเครื่องเซียนพระด้วย และสนามพระเครื่องท่าพระจันทร์มีจัดงานประกวดพระในโรงเรียนมหาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ในปี2537. และจัดตลาดพระให้เช่าบูชาตั้วอยู่กลางถนนข้างระหว่างวัดมหาธาตุและข้างโรงเรียนมหาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ปิดถนนกันจัดนิทันศ์การประกวดพระเครื่อง. และจุดประกายตอนเมื่อปี พ.ศ. สามสิบกว่า กับบวกกับเศษฐกิจดี ทุกอย่างสินค้ารอบตลาดพระท่าจันทร์ เซียนพระและพ่อค้าแม่ค้ามีรายได้เม็ดเงินสะพัดขายของสินค้าทั่วรอบๆข้างสนามท่าพระจันทร์,ท่าราชวรดิษฐ์, ของสินค้ากินของใช้และการท่องเที่ยวคนต่างประเทศต่างๆทั่วโลกมาท่องเที่ยวกันมากมายทำให้พ่อค้าแม่ค้ามีรายได้กันทั่วหน้าขายสินค้าของกินของใช้ยาสมุนไพรและตลับพระต่างๆใส่พระสร้อยคอห้อยพระเครื่อง และสินค้าต่างๆ มีชีวิตเกิดใหม่พ่อค้าแม่ค้าและของกินมีรายได้มากมาย จนเซียนพระมีชื่อเสียงและคนที่ชอบศึกษาพระเครื่องใหม่ๆ จนไปผู้ที่เซียนพระเดินเสาะแสวงหาพระเครื่อง ได้เรียนรู้พระเครื่องพระกรุ,พระเกจิ, อื่นๆวัดมากมาย และพระเครื่องทุกชนิดทุกวัดทุกหลวงพ่อต่างๆ ในช่วงนั้นพระเครื่องและคนที่นำพระเครื่องให้บูชาจากต่างจังหวัดเข้าสู่กรุงเทพมหานคร คนที่อยู่ต่างจังหวัดต่างๆย้ายที่อยู่เข้าสู่กรุงเทพมหานครทำให้มีพระเครื่องต่างจังหวัดย้ายบ้านด้วยติดพระเครื่องต่างๆนำมาด้วยทำให้ตลาดพระเครื่องท่าพระจันทร์ ...

A wonderful & well stocked market selling every amulet you could ever need or want. There are cute thai cats at some of the stalls too and they're even friendly! The market is partially covered so good sun protection and mostly good rain protection too. Staff were very kind friendly and extremely helpful.

If you are looking to purchase any statues larger than the figurines in the photo I reccomend you bring at least 2000 Bht as I only went with 800 & sadly didn't have enough to buy any as a result 😢

.... BUT I was still able to buy many amulets and small figurines and some jewellery(pictured) with just enough leftover to grab a refreshing thai tea from one of the nearby drinks shops on the way out.

It's not just or even mainly for tourists, I saw some monks perusing the wares too which was cool. Highly recommend...
