Came here after visiting Wat Lokayasutharam. I quickly Googled the nearest cafe and Baan Khon Suan popped up on the map. My friends and I started to head over but when we arrived, we were a bit skeptical as we didn't see anyone there and it looked like it was in the middle of nowhere. Since we were already there, I said let's just give it a try - what's the worst that can happen? My friends and I are so glad we did! The owner is the nicest man and the cage was actually very modern. He put on top 40 music for us to enjoy, gave us the wifi pw, and he set up a table for 4 of us to sit and relax. We all got the Italian soda (strawberry, passion fruit, and honey lemon/lime) and they were all refreshing and delicious. We also tried the pineapple one but didn't like that one as much as it was a bit more artificial tasting. There's also a clean bathroom to use before you head out on our way. We ended up giving him some tip because we had such a great time there! Do make a visit if you're in the area and looking for a quick pit stop to sit, and enjoy a...
Read moreTucked away from the noise an off the beaten track, right behind the Reclining Buddha in Auytthaya.i.e. behind Wat Lokaya Sutheram and Wat Worachetharam. If you go there by bike or you are an indepenrent tourist walking around, do spend an hour to retreat from the heat! I had the whole place to myself, I couldnt believe my luck to stumble upon this out- of-this- world cafe! No words to describe what a fantastic time I had in this real hidden gem! It's like a cabin, a nice wooden hut perched in front of a pond. Chairs on the porch, cusions, shade, cool music and refreshing cocktails. It basically serves tea, coffee, beer, fruit and cocktails. Not sure if there were snacks. Fast wifi and clean wc. The place itself- spotlessly clean! But the real thing is the ambience and the friendly smiling bartender/ owner? Will try attach a map to help...
Read moreWe went there to get a coffee and this is one of the hidden gem I wouldn't find without google maps. Unobtrusive turn near lying Buddha we wouldn't otherwise found. Small quiet place and very good coffee from mocca pot. Greenery all around you. What's best - this was the first place in Thailand that didn't use any plastic. Awesome. Behind the coffee shop was accommodation, if I knew it earlier I would definitely booked a night...
