Update: February 2025
The Pizza Wars at Market Village in Hua Hin town continue. In the past few years since Scoozi opened a branch here, my general opinion is the same.
Prices have gone up, service and quality is about the same.
Recently, my daughter and I had dinner at Scoozi and I was sad to see that the Shrimp Bisque is no longer on the menu.
However, Scoozi is offering some new pizza toppings.
I still feel that Scoozi is a notch above the closest competition.
The pizza wars are heating up in Hua Hin with the opening of a Pizza Hut restaurant on Petchkasem Road in December and a ''Scoozi Urban Pizza'' branch in Market Village in January.
Scoozi fills an alternative pizza void that opened up when ''Sawasdee Ciao'' closed in Market Village in mid-Covid lockdown. Also, Scoozi can give The Pizza Company some good competition. Although for sheer volume for money, The Pizza Company's 18 inch New Yorker Pizza is hard to beat.
It is the quality of ingredients where Scoozi distinguishes itself. Scoozi's 13 inch pizzas are a bit more pricy than Pizza Company's 12 inch pies, but the ''hand tossed'' dough is really good (you can order ''thin and crispy'' as well) and the toppings taste better. Right now, in January / February 2022, there are some promotions in the restaurant and on Grab Food with two 10 inch pizzas fro 399 Baht.
I have tried the Pepperoni and Salami Pizza and the Bacon Carbonara Pizza (white sauce with an egg!) and the Peking style Duck pizza toppings. Also, I have tried the Scoozi mushroom soup and the Shrimp Bisque. The Shrimp Bisque is excellent! Also, I remembered to take some photos!
All in all, the atmosphere and ambiance of the in-house restaurant dining is OK, the friendliness and positive attitude of the staff members is wonderful.
Years ago, before I moved to Hua Hin from Bangkok I used to order Scoozi piza in Bangkok. I am glad that I have this option for dine-in at Market Village and for delivery via Grab and the other delivery...
Read moreLets start with Tikky ! She manages Scoozi Urban Pizza @ Market Village. They are 2nd floor next to the Sizzler you can't miss them. She is the Dream find for the owners ; she does everything / Hostess / Server / Greeter / busser / table clean & prep / cashier and everything else. She is immaculately clean and so is the floor, the windows, the table tops , the cashier counter. She is gracious , alert, active in her work effortlessly looking yet attention paid to every detail. And so it follows that my thick edge Pepperoni pizza ( 13" ) xtra mozzarella cheese was grand ! Delicious , served hot, fresh, cheese bubbling , crust to perfection. It is ironic that just a day ago my wife & I had pizza at Brasserie de Paris and I claimed that to be my " Best Ever Pizza in Thailand ". That took 39 months of searching nearly 60 or maybe more provinces . Yes, excluding Bangkok as they have everything imaginable , for the rest of Thailand now I have found my # 1 & 2 now to include Scoozi. The size is for 2 people , two slices remained for takeaway. The Caesar salad is worth having as it is also tops ! I have had many ordinary caesars yet again the portion ( 2 people ) and the caesar toss coating every romaine leaf w/ real bacon crisp along with croutons and thin radish slices for color was delicious, refreshing and a perfect pairing with their awesome pizza. Ok, the atmosphere & decor are fine. Yet we are in Market Village Mall so no views of the Gulf of Thailand.People watching / mall goers make up for it a little. I assumed Tikky owned Scoozi's by her behavior, she is top notch / top tier / top individual in my mind,...
Read moreA new pizza place is always welcome and I'm always willing to try a new one out. I spotted Scoozi Urban Pizza while in Market Village so we decided to give it a try.
After going over the menu we decided to try two pizzas, Meatball Parmesan, and Pepperoni and Salami.
After a short wait the pizzas were brought to our table. Both of the pizzas were very good, I liked them equally, my girlfriend also enjoyed them both but seemed to like the Pepperoni and Salami a little bit more. The crust on both was good and the toppings were flavorful.
When we ordered the pizza we were asked if we wanted it “thick”, we said yes. It appears that “thick” means the outside edge of the pizza, not the bottom portion.
There is seating for approximately 36 inside, everything looked clean, and the service was friendly.
A 10% service charge is added to the bill so adjust your tip accordingly. I added a little more to it because the service...
