We decided to visit as a result of seeing their robot taking food to tables in the Market Village. There is no free WiFi, which makes it a bit of an issue for foreigners as the menu is only in Thai. On our first visit, we just opted for one of their specials. Chicken with rice that comes with a soup. The chicken and rice were absolutely delicious. However, the soup was rather bland. We enjoyed the chicken so much that during our five week stay in Hua Hin, we visited Yayoi another three more times having the same dish on each occasion. We did try three starters during our extra visits, and each one was very tasty. The service on three visits was excellent. Unfortunately, on our last visit, the level of service dropped. I could see from where we were sat that the staff were very busy preparing takeaway food. The waitress did apologise for the delays and the disjointed way our food was served. When the food did come, it was just as tasty as usual. The restaurant was always very clean and tidy. Even though our last visit was a little disappointing, we would still return as long as they have the chicken...

This is a Japanese chain of restaurants that can be found in malls throughout Thailand. I finally tried this place, because everything looked really good, and I love a good bowl of ramen or other Japanese comfort foods. I had the Katsudon set and my girlfriend had the tonkotsu ramen. Both were ok. The price was good for what you got. Unfortunately, it really doesn’t rise above what you would get as a meal on an airplane. The broth of the tonkotsu appeared rich and deep, but the flavor disappeared almost immediately upon hitting your palate. There was almost no aftertaste. The katsudon was too sweet and, again, the flavor was really lacking. It was just a so-so meal. There are tons of other options on the menu, and I wouldn’t write this place off without giving it another chance or two.

Update 12/31/24: been here two more times as of today. My opinion remains the same. Just about the same quality as a good economy class airplane meal. Not terrible, but just a solid and...

I have been a loyal customer for years and have always rated the food and service positively. However, I would like to bring to the owner's attention the noisy robot in the restaurant that disrupts the peaceful atmosphere. The robot's irritating noise is off-putting and makes me want to leave immediately, similar to the experience of hearing a car advertisement on the road. I kindly request the removal of the noisy robot to enhance the overall...
