Black Canyon Coffee — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

This used to be one of my go to spots when I happened to find myself in Market Village. That has changed over the past few months. They have cut back on staff and it's not unusual to see just two people working the restaurant, one server and the cook.

While I'm pretty sure this is a money saving move on the part of management it is at the expense of the customers dining experience. I do not fault the staff at all, they are doing the best they can while being short staffed.

I once came in for lunch, sat down, and waited. I waited 15 minuets and I hadn't even been brought a menu. I finally got up and walked out, the server saw me and said she was sorry, I felt bad for her knowing that it wasn't really her fault. If anyone is to apologize it should be the person in the corporate office that made the decision to cut the staff.

I have stopped by a couple of times but each time I only saw one server so I just walked away. Corporate may think that they are saving money but they are loosing customers and they don't...

The stupid things businesses do here. I ordered an orange juice in this coffee shop (Black Canyon) in Market Village mall and noticed in the picture that there was a lot of ice in the glass. So I said no ice. When they brought me the drink it was only just over half a glass. I said I wanted a full glass. Then when I got my bill they tried to charge me about 25% on top for having a full glass. I refused to pay pointing out that there's no reference in the menu to having to pay more to have a full glass without ice. For the sake of 50 pence/20 baht they completely alienated a new customer. I had an omelette, too, and it was dreadful: overcooked, greasy and tasteless. Genuinely, if I'd cooked it myself I would have shaken my head at my incompetence. They gave me the 20 baht back but in such a way that they clearly thought they were in the right and had no interest in treating a customer respectfully. Absolutely dreadful and completely ruined what should have been a relaxing...

First thing I would like to give a big complain is a staff in a coffe shop she’s the worse person with worse service I have ever seen. No Manner , talk back to customer I think shout more than talk anyway. She doesn’t care how many customers sit inside. I couldn’t remember her name but she’s quite tall ( just only one person in the shop) She had big argument with customer I just can’t believe she did that !!! This story won’t be finished until I know she gets disaplinary warning what she did !!! I will never accept...
