I will divide my review into two parts, the first part was very pleasant, but what happened next.
Our first acquaintance with the restaurant took place on December 14th!
We really liked everything, we ate divine sausages, there are two options on the menu, salads and... but in this review it doesn't matter. It was very tasty! The owner of the restaurant, a gray-haired man, about 60 years old, was very kind, wished us a pleasant appetite.
What happened next?
On December 28, 2023, my family and I parked our car next to a kiosk located next to the restaurant. There is no information in the parking lot that parking is prohibited, there is no other information that this place is privately owned, including the absence of markings prohibiting us from parking.
That evening, my friends and I were sitting in a Georgian restaurant opposite, but in the coming days we planned to go to a German restaurant «Natchas Cafe, Bäckerei and Restaurant».
But after today's event, we will not go there and recommend that you take a closer look at the owner, he is as inadequate as possible.
I approached the car with my family, wife and child, the gray-haired owner is standing next to the car, without any greetings, he starts shouting, provoking, rushing with aggression, shouting that this is his private territory. It seemed to us that the gray-haired man (the owner of the restaurant) smelled of alcohol, or he was under the influence of psychotropic drugs.
We asked the owner where the information came from that you can't park here, he didn't listen to us, we tried to say that we had recently been to their restaurant, but we didn't park next to the restaurant, but in fact we were visitors to the restaurant «Natchas Cafe, Bäckerei and Restaurant».
He tried to smash my phone, snatching it out of my hands. As we were driving away, he threw a cigarette through the open car window. He scared my child and my wife.
Now my appeal to the owner of the restaurant, I was completely sober, I did not succumb to your provocation, figure it out for yourself, there is no information near your restaurant that the place where we were standing belongs to the restaurant, and no one can park there.
To be honest, I restrained myself because I am physically younger and stronger than you, in case of direct aggression on your part you would need medical help. And the police would surely have found some substances in your blood!
We do not recommend visiting the cafe "Natchas Cafe, Bäckerei and Restaurant", as it belongs to an inadequate owner!!! The lack of any kind of customer orientation is not...
Read moreUPDATED REVIEW MAY 2021 (original review below)..... Having told my family who is visiting from the USA how awesome Natcha's was, we were all excited to return here.
Unfortunately this visit was EXTREMELY disappointing. Only one woman was working. She took our orders, made our drinks, and then cooked our meals and brought them out one at a time. It was excruciatingly slow (90+ mins from start to finish), so we each ate one a time.
No logical thought was put into the order of things; for example, our salads were served last after everything else, and after some of us had already eaten our main dish an hour earlier.
To make matters worse, there was no music, so we just sat in the awkwardly quiet room by ourselves swatting some persistent flies away.
The food itself was fantastic - every bit as good as we expected. The woman working was very pleasant, but we felt bad for everything she had to do there alone. I know these are tough times, but if they can't bring on a 2nd crew member to handle even one single table, perhaps they should just consider closing until things get better.
ORIGINAL REVIEW MARCH 2021 (5 star) .... WOW! By far the best western breakfast at Nai Harn. Fresh bread rolls and croissants. Friendly prices. I had an outstanding Rösti, which is not easy to find in Thailand (especially a good one). Everyone there - owners, staff, customers - were very pleasant. Nai Harn has a lot of good restaurants, but for a western-style breakfast, I wouldn't really mess around...
Read moreI love this place! Here are the reasons why: 100% of the food is delicious. Most places that serve Thai food and foreign food usually don't have good Thai food, right?
This café has excellent Thai food, German food, and many other international foods, including many different styles of breakfast and other foods.
They even have fresh bread, croissants, and cakes/pies baked every day by the owner. The coffee and tea are great, too.
There is indoor and outdoor seating, and everything is very clean.
The staff and owners are wonderful people. SO nice!
Visit and enjoy. You will be...
