WeCafe - Rawai ~ “Salad | Coffee | Family” — Restaurant in Rawai

Having walked by a number of times we thought we would give We Cafe a visit for dinner. We had no problem getting a table around 630pm but it started to fill up soon after. We ordered one beef burger which was served with a small portion of fries and one salmon pizza. The beef burger really was excellent, good sized patty and very flavoursome. The pizza was thin, ultra thin. Seems to be a thing here in Rawai with ultra thin pizzas? However, it was very tasty but not very filling. There is a relaxed ambiance in We Cafe which is situated virtually on the sand of Rawai Beach. You can choose to dine inside or out, we chose the later. On the evening we attended it seemed as though it was overun by Russians, it was the only language you could hear and they were continually congregating outside on the street which was very off putting. Not sure if this is a nightly thing but they do appear to have a large presence here in Rawai. Russians aside, we enjoyed our meals but it was a shame that they served them nearly ten minutes apart! Also, as the restaurant became busier during the evening (more Russians...sigh) it became even more challenging to get the attention of a server. We Cafe are worth a visit as their dishes are tasty and reasonably priced. Cards...

I don't do these public reviews often, but We Cafe deserves a mention, in the poached egg department. If you (like me) have a penchant for poached egg dishes do try their Egg Benedict variations - my eggs were perfect, the sauce was well made, the bun was a high quality Brioche type - yes, egg lovers, this was the real deal, and obviously assembled by a competent kitchen crew so that the finished product arrrived at this customer's table at a good temperature, which is often a failure point with this kind of dish. So, kudos to the We Cafe kitchen for getting this right! We also had the squid ink pasta with the crab roe - I loved it after I added a squeeze of lime, but my partner thought that the nam pla seasoning overshadowed the subtle fishiness of the roe. I have to agree with this - We Cafe chefs: you have a wonderful dish here but please be mindful of each ingredient's contribution. Overall: if you are in Rawai do pay We Cafe a visit for its magnificent salad options and competent execution of all time favourites! Erm, plus the coconut latte (ask for the no sugar version)...
