I had the Bua Loy in fresh milk with pomegranate seeds, Sarim, Lod Chong, and ice cream. For just 150 THB, it was beautifully presented and absolutely indulgent. The base was refreshing evaporated milk, which added a smooth and creamy texture, and it was complemented perfectly by the chewy bua loy (glutenous rice balls) filled with black sesame, refreshing pomegranate seeds (red ruby), and vibrant pandan noodles (lod chong). The sarim added a delicate touch, and the coconut ice cream provided a delightful burst of flavor, making the dish even more special.
The portion size is very generous—perfect for sharing between two people, making it a great option for those who enjoy sharing desserts.
One feature I really appreciated was that the dish wasn’t overly sweet. Sugar was provided on the table, allowing customers to adjust the sweetness to their preference—a thoughtful touch that makes this dessert appealing to a wider audience.
That said, ordering was a bit of a challenge since the menu names were only in Thai, with no English translations or numerical identifiers (e.g., “Item 3”). I had to go to the staff and point at the menu to place my order. Fortunately, the staff was very friendly and helpful, ensuring I got exactly what I wanted.
Despite this minor hiccup, the dessert and overall experience were fantastic. If you’re looking for a unique, refreshing, and shareable Thai dessert, Jae Wan เจ้วรรณ is absolutely...
Read moreVisited the place few days ago, there was a long line for queue. The line actually moved very fast. We were a group of 10 people.
Desserts was good, it wasn’t overly sweet and you could adjust the sweetness. It’s definitely good on a hot day for sure.
My only negative feedback is the toilet. It was a very long queue when I needed to use it and then that’s when I noticed the toilet is open air and no partition was made to separate it from the eating area. Meaning, you can smell people’s pee while eating inside half of the restaurant. The fan is blowing into the toilet, so imagine when someone didn’t poop or pee properly. The half of the restaurant basically smells like urine. Initially I thought it was the smell of the restaurant. That was my experience, I’m calling this out because no one from my group noticed it since we are Infront of the restaurant but I can tell customers sitting next to the...
Read moreThis local dessert restaurant offers a fun and engaging experience with its tailor-made dessert bowls, allowing for endless customization and generous portions. However, while the concept is appealing and the presentation is attractive, the overall taste of the dessert bowls is rather average. The ingredients, though fresh, do not combine to create a particularly memorable flavor profile, making it similar to other local dessert options.
If you enjoy large, customizable dessert bowls and appreciate a cheerful, inviting atmosphere, this restaurant is worth a visit. However, if you are seeking a truly unique and flavorful dessert experience, you might find the taste here to be somewhat lacking. It’s a great spot for a casual dessert outing, but don’t expect it to stand out significantly in...
