Late-Night Thai Comfort at Jimjoom99 Banthat Thong
We thought this restaurant might be quieter at the late hour we visited, but to our surprise, the crowd just kept coming in for supper! It was buzzing with locals, and we were equally amazed to see so many people enjoying their claypot meals — a true sign of a local gem.
We ordered the BBQ pork neck, which was incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It paired perfectly with their signature red dipping sauce — a great start to our meal.
The highlight, of course, was the Thai-style claypot hotpot. The lemongrass-infused clear broth was deeply aromatic and soothing. We added in a basket of fresh vegetables, sliced chicken, pork, and finished with rice vermicelli. It was nutritious, comforting, and satisfying — served with a flavorful mookata-style sauce that tied everything together.
We also shared a plate of Thai crab meat fried rice, which was beautifully cooked — dry, fragrant, not too oily, and very easy to enjoy.
This was a wholesome, authentic Thai supper, and we felt truly blessed to have stumbled upon such a hearty meal so late at night. Highly recommended for anyone craving warm, flavorful comfort food...
Read moreLast time we were here for Jeh O Chula and passed by this hotpot place with all tables being occupied, so we just came back again and have a try! This is my first time ever to try this thai style hotpot called chim chum and it was sooo great! The soup base was boiled with many spices which turns out tasted like tom yum in a less sour and spicy version! We had the beef and seafood combo for hotpot and also the grilled pork neck recommended by the friendly staff, everything was fresh but just the portion is a bit poor, i think it just good enough for one person serving.. other than that eating this traditional thai hotpot with chilling beer next to the street is just satisfying!
Love it more than hong kong...

I decided to try the claypot soup, and now I’ve visited three times. While the prices are a bit higher than other Thai restaurants, the quality and taste of the food make it well worth it. The claypot hotpot is exceptional, and the raw shrimp salad is my personal favorite. My only downside is that the portions are a bit on the smaller side. The restaurant has three floors to choose from: an air-conditioned room, a live show room, and an open area on the 4th floor, each offering a...
