Everything except the bakuteh tasted just fine. The dim sum and baos are nothing exceptional that you can't find in other similar restaurants.
Disappointed with portions. 3 smaller-than-average shrimp shumai in one steamer, and a measley 2 hagao in the other. The baos were just slightly bigger than typical, but usually you get 2 or up to 3 in other places.
As for the bakuteh, the first sip tasted like regular noodles broth, but ends with a strong Chinese medicinal herb aftertaste that's too bitter; not a balanced flavor. The soup contained 5 (very) small pieces of pork rib. Better bakuteh can be had elsewhere.
Pork ribs in red sauce (not the actual name), was overpriced for what was served.
All in all, not value for money. Spent +200 per person for 2 people which just barely satisfied our hunger.
Taste: 3/5 Average; same as anywhere Quality: 4/5 Good Price: 2/5 Poor; Expensive vs portions given Service: 4/5 Good Atmosphere: 3/5 Average; Cars make it very loud Cleanliness: 4/5 Good Accessibility: 2/5 Poor; Difficult to...
Read moreIt is magnificently superb ! I like every dish in this restaurant. My Chinese friends who came from Guangdong also approved this place. The most delicious dish for me was the dried noodle and its sauce. The sauce was like a gravy but not gravy. Will surely come back to visit.
UPDATE: We came back to the restaurant for the second visit. During COVID-19 situation, we were expecting good service from the place but what we'd got was a maltreatment where its waitresses delivered food to the wrong table. What was worse was that people in that table didnt wear masks (not their fault) they might breath to our food. When we argued that they did not deliver food to the right table, they just passively brought the food to our table and expected us to eat the food that was bathed with some strangers' breath we do not know whether they have COVID or not? I dont think it is nice for hygienic reason. Please educate your employees.
Honestly i love your food. This is a...
Read moreDim sum here is cheap and good. Ordered the charcoal bun with BBQ meat, spare ribs in red sauce and shrimp dumpling together with a cup of milk tea. (They served an additional cup of Chinese tea, foc)
Verdict: The BBQ bun is at bit dried and chewy, and the there is too much lean meat, which need a lot of effort to chew. The foc Chinese tea helps to wash it down.
Spare ribs in red sauce is good. Can be better if it is not over steam it. Kind of dried as well.
Shrimp dumpling is good. Good amount of filling with fresh shrimp.
Milk tea is good by the way, it’s strong enough and blended well with the milk.
Price wise is definitely on affordable. Probably because of lack of good timing control, some of the dim sum where over-cooked. Kind of wasted. But, would definitely be back to try...
