The Magic Garden Food Court at Don Mueang International Airport is a popular dining spot for travelers looking for a variety of affordable food options before their flight. Here’s a general review:

Pros: Affordable Prices: One of the main highlights of the Magic Garden Food Court is the affordability. Compared to other airport dining options, the food here is reasonably priced, making it a great option for budget-conscious travelers.

Variety of Cuisines: The food court offers a wide range of choices, from Thai cuisine to international dishes. You can find everything from traditional Thai street food to more familiar Western options like pizza and sandwiches.

Local Thai Flavors: For those looking to try local food before leaving Thailand, the food court offers a variety of authentic Thai dishes, including classics like Pad Thai, Tom Yum, and Thai curries.

Spacious Seating: The seating area is spacious, with plenty of tables available. Even during peak hours, it’s generally easy to find a place to sit.

Fast Service: The food court operates efficiently, with quick service that allows travelers to get their meals without much delay, which is ideal when you’re in a rush before a flight.

Cons: Basic Ambiance: While the food is good, the ambiance is fairly basic. The food court is functional rather than stylish, which may not appeal to those looking for a more upscale dining experience.

Limited International Options: Although there are international dishes available, the focus is primarily on Thai food. This might be a limitation for travelers who prefer more variety in international cuisines.

Crowded During Peak Times: The food court can get quite busy, especially during meal times and peak travel hours, leading to long lines at some stalls.

Limited Beverage Choices: The selection of beverages can be somewhat limited, particularly if you’re looking for something beyond the standard soft drinks and bottled water.

Overall Impression: The Magic Garden Food Court at Don Mueang Airport is a solid choice for travelers seeking affordable and quick meals with a good variety of Thai dishes. It’s particularly convenient for those who want to enjoy local flavors before their flight. However, the basic ambiance and potential crowding might be less appealing for those looking for a more relaxed...

MAGIC GARDEN Food Court at Don Mueang Airport (Domestic Departures Terminal)

Atmosphere and Management

The food court is clean, well-organized, and has ample seating for travelers.

Payments are made using a prepaid card system (Magic Garden Card), which must be topped up with cash.

There is a strict rule prohibiting utensils or dishes from being taken out of the food court area; violators face a 2,000 Baht fine.

Prices and Value

The prices are surprisingly affordable for an airport food court.

Rice with 2 dishes costs only 70 Baht.

Rice with 3 dishes is 80 Baht.

A bottle of Singha water is just 10 Baht.

This makes it an excellent option for budget-conscious travelers.

Food Options

A wide variety of food is available, including:

Halal options like Kao Mok Gai (Chicken Biryani) and Roti with Green Curry.

Classic Thai dishes like Kao Man Gai (Hainanese Chicken Rice) and stir-fried options.

Rice and curry selections, perfect for quick meals.

Food Quality

The food is tasty and meets general expectations for quality, given the affordable prices.

It’s a great choice for travelers looking for a quick, satisfying meal without breaking the bank.

Drawbacks

The prepaid card system only accepts cash for top-ups.

If you pay via bank transfer or any non-cash method, you cannot get a refund for any remaining balance on the card.

This can be inconvenient for those who prefer cashless payments or are left with unused funds.

Conclusion

MAGIC GARDEN offers excellent value with affordable prices, a wide range of food, and a clean dining environment.

Pros: Affordable prices, clean space, diverse food options.

Cons: Prepaid card system requires cash for refunds, and unused credit is non-refundable with non-cash payments.

Tip: Top up only the amount you need to avoid leftover credit.

For budget-friendly dining at Don Mueang Airport, MAGIC GARDEN is highly...

All kind of food with affordable price comes with super hassle payment method.

Like, that they have many kind of food for you to choose as a food court style, only one thing outdated is, how they want us to pay.

Cash (THB ONLY) have to change to the card.

Bank transfer payment to get the card is no refund.

Credit card...are they even accepted? refundable? no idea. Seem the cashier staff, who have a burn out aroma, was so tried to talk to all the clients anyway (That's why the machine is better most of the time)

I was not carrying any cash and too hungry to find some other places, Then I had to wander around to calculated how much exactly I wanted to eat and pay for, then went and changed the number from my back account to be the number in their card, then went to each vender and found out, what i wanted to eat was not available 😑

Managed to use all the money in coupon card anyway, in the end.

Tip for the management team, please travel and look through your eyes, hows the world go with technology, should be easy for you, your office is in the...
